The Underground Weather Network
Gary | 2024-08-07 04:19:35 |
We have had 2 electrical storms that have fried our switches connected to underground network wiring. I have installed these at both ends of outdoor run and have not had any surges since. Seem like they work as advertised. 5 |

This product is great! I was stuck in Hurricane Sandy's weather for a week and half shooting network news coverage. Minimized fogging, protected my eyes and viewfinder and was comfortable against my face for hours of shooting. And it didn't even blow off in 75+ MPH winds. 5 |

I recently started doing extreme weather live hits with a national network and knew I would encounter heavy downpours at some point. Fortunately, we've been setting up under overhangs or near doorways. The southeast hurricane season is fast approaching. Plus, taking on another project, and hearing rumors that the job required working in the rain, it was time to make a purchase to protect my investment. I'm satisfied with Sachtler Rain Poncho. Goes on easily. Conveniently stores away. However, I have the Betso Bowtie Fins on the front of my bag. So, the front edge of the poncho sits a little higher. Not a problem at all. Thanks Sachtler and B&H! 5 |

Great vest. I'm using it in an underground coal mine. It's like having an extra pair of hands. It distributes weight evenly. I use it for batteries, flashes, all sorts of accessories. There are no pockets for big lenses, but that's O.K. It would make the vest too heavy and cumbersome. It's pretty good at repelling lime and coal dust and water and is not likely to tear easily. Pockets are lined with soft material, which is easy on lenses. These vests are a little pricey, but worth it. They're professional gear and are made for rugged use. 5 |

Solid takes abuse perfect for poking the gopro into strange places underwater and underground. 5 |

So far so good! Using as a backup power supply for an underground dog fence and so far is working great. 5 |

We mostly use it to protect our lens for our camera at work, being as we drag the camera through steam tunnels, in mud trenches, inside underground vaults, and through all sorts of other environments. The filter screws on firmly to the end of the lens and protects the lens from scratches, dirt, dust, etc. without distorting any of the pictures. 5 |

I use 50+ of these routinely for delicate electronic sensors that are buried underground in very wet Florida environments for over 6 months at a time. I love the color-changing pattern on the exterior of the pack that let's me now when it's due for replacement or refreshing in a microwave. I used to use the metal type that needed to be baked for 3 hours, but those too long to replenish and were small in comparison. 5 |

This arm is exactly what I needed. I made an oversized copy stand to photograph old city maps and drawings of the underground utilities. I'm using the arm on top of a ProMaster Super Heavy Duty SLR II Tripod. Had to put a couple of weights on the tripod just to make sure it wouldn't tip over with the arm fully extended. 5 |

Bought this lens for a trip to the Kansas underground salt museum. Lighting conditions were poor to say the least. Did not disapoint! Shot in very dim conditions @1/8 second (1600 ISO) without noticable blur. Goodbye flash! 5 |
