Thermal Printer Print Settings

These print well in my Casio CW-50 Thermal Printer and I don't ever recall having a bad burn with one of them. Although they are rated at 16x, I usually burn at 8x and have never had a problem.

I love this printer. Right selection of media to choose from and no ink to replenish (Thermal) you can print using the app for your phone or a USB cable to print from your computer. Compact and easy to use.

This was a little tricky to begin with but after changes some settings I finally got it to print. This stuff if very soft and must be set up just right when trying to print with a bowden drive printer, but once I dialed in the settings it worked great. Very happy with the results.

Don't let the size steer you away from buying this printer, it's definitely worth making room for it. It is great any small or large job. It's perfect for home use, small office, and school work. It was packaged extremely well to not be damaged. It is so easy to set up. You pretty much just download the app, plug in the printer, connect it to wifi and print. It takes about 20 minutes to set up the printer and adjust all the settings you need. It has a great 5-inch touchscreen that makes it easy to change the settings. I haven't had any issues connecting it to my wi-fi and it stays connected. The app makes it so easy to print what you need, wirelessly from your phone or computer. It holds plenty of paper so you're not constantly refilling it. You can print, copy, scan, and fax including 2-sided print and 2-sided scan. I printed 200 color flyers so quickly. It prints even fine details clearly with vibrant colors. I love this printer so much and have been recommending it to everyone I know in the market for a new printer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an advanced printer with loaded features. It has large touch screen that makes changing settings a breeze. It can print both sides of paper and has ADF when scanning bunch of paper documents. There is tray on the bottom and another tray that opens up to allow you to print on longer paper. I print mostly using AirPrint, it is so effortless to print with this printer. Once it is set up and connected it prints surprisingly fast. I am very happy with the print quality in both documents and color prints. What also surprised me is that my lights no longer flicker when printing. With my old laser printer, everytime I printed something the lights in the room flickered. I suspected it is due to large power draw of the printer. However this printer does not have this problem at all, which is fantastic. There were couple of hiccups when first setting up though. First the AirPrint did not work at first. This was fixed by doing printer firmware update and restarting. Once I updated I never had problem doing AirPrint. The other issue was when changing few settings it requires an admin pin. This PIN number is sitting on the toner tray that slides out. I spent maybe 10minutes trying to figure out what the pin was. The manual kind of mentions where it is, but the pin was not there, rather it was on a tray that slides out. It’s a small annoyance and was a one time issue, but wish it was better. Overall I am very happy with this printer, I hope it lasts a long time.

This is my first 3D printer. The resolution is pretty good and assembly went well, no misalignments or incorrect parts. NOTE: You will need to do both a manual calibration requiring adjusting the leveling plate knobs a few rounds on each corner and a Z-axis offset on the touchscreen settings, as well as auto calibration. Watch the YouTube videos on how to do this as the manual included is pretty thin. The printer comes with a full set of manuals and videos on a SD card. It also comes with 2 SLT objects you can print, a USB-SD Card adapter and some tools for cleaning and changing the print head. It comes with .5kg of white PLA material. The base plate is heated. It takes about 2-3 min. to warm up the plate and head. The Creality slicer software takes the SLT files and converts them to G-code for the printer to work. It automatically puts in purge routes before laying the part beads. Which means any strings left around the print head get laid outside your print area. Then the printer does a few loops around your part before laying the first layers. You can adjust most of the settings on the touchscreen. The machine is fairly quiet and appears solid/well built.

This photo cards are gorgeous. They come in a nice metal tin and I could not be happier with the resulting prints of my photos. I also really like the rounded corners and the general feel of the cards. They are a great way to showcase your work and provide high-quality, inexpensive samples to prospective clients. However, I was dissatisfied with these until I found the right print settings which required two changes. First, I needed to disregard some of the guidance published by Hahnemule that suggested the need to tape your photo cards to a 8.5 by 11 piece of paper and create an image with the letter-sized layout. Instead, I simply choose the 4x6 borderless paper size and have been able to directly load the photo cards in my printer (Canon Pro-10). Secondly, I had to adjust my printer settings to prevent paper abrasion as this paper is thicker than most media I have run through my printer. Before I did this, I had some visible lines where the print head had scraped against the paper. After applying the setting, this went away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this printer and the print quality. It is compact and very user friendly. I love how quickly it prints documents. At first I was a little hesitant about purchasing this as we had a functional one already but it really changed my mind as the prints are so clear and the colours are really pigmented. My only issue is that the default settings for the printer on my phone are used instead of my preferred settings but I don't have that issue on my laptop. Overall I would definitely recommend this printer to anyone for their personal use.
