Thermal Printer Uses Ribbon

Uses 12 AA Batteries - Canon only uses 8. Built in thermal protection and remaining battery capacity indicator, neither of which is available on the Canon unit. And it's massively cheaper!

Printer works as expected, simple to load with paper and ribbon. Works very well with the Mac printer driver. Prints have great color and they print pretty quickly. I have printed to it from Lightroom, Capture 1 Pro and Photoshop and had no issues.

Needed a short cable to connect thermal printer to computer. Functions well.

I currently use the Selphy cp80 as my back-up printer for my photo booth. These Ink ribbon and paper packs come in real handy and don't require much packing space. For a back-up printer I am very happy with the prints.

Very happy with this printer, prints really fast. Had a paper jam and ribbon break that I caused by improper installation when I was changing out the roll after running out at an event but was able to was easily fix in under a minute with some cello tape and scissors (which you should always keep with the printer for emergencies.) Printer is very heavy duty and looks like it will last for a while.

Always hesitate to try new cartridges, but these might have well come with the printer. No mess, perfect fit, only the printer's rather awkward ribbon site a problem. Recommend these cartridges.

Even though this is the only paper you can use with the DNP RX1 printer, it always works great. I have only had the ribbon break once in 7 years and repairing it is easy. B&H always has it in stock and the price is great. Buy with confidence.

I am very happy with the printer's clarity and coloring of the images that it produces.� Easy to load with ribbon and paper.� A little bit heavy but quality isn't light.� I would purchase it again, without a doubt.

I have had this DS620 printer for several years and I'm very satisfied. This paper/ribbon size also allows printing 3.5x5 and there won't be any waste if printing in pairs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously owned a different thermal printer model and had issues with the feeder and app. This Brother printer is perfect for my small business needs and fits my 4x6 shipping labels for packaging. It was fairly easy to set up and get started with the online and app features. So far I'm happy with the quality of the print and capabilities to make adjustments in app. I love not having to purchase ink for this thermal printer which saves me time and money!
