Thermal Test Report Printer

I had a chance to test out the Burris Thermal Riflescope at a range next to a pile of other thermal scopes (Pulsar, ATN, etc). The BTR outperformed all the other products in terms of refresh rate and ease of use. It was right at the top level of image quality and it had features that I wouldn't hunt without like HOT TRACK. I had my mindset on Burris and then I found out the price point, I can practically buy two of these for one of any other lower-performing competitor.

Used this test tool on my first job over the weekend where I had a requirement to produce a report of cable runs to for a new WAP installation. Was able to label and produce a very nice PDF report to provide my client. Did what I needed it to do!

Needed a short cable to connect thermal printer to computer. Functions well.

So far, I love this printer. So many improvements over the Pro-1. At this point, I have nothing negative to report. Ink use seems to be low in spite of the small cartridges. It's good that they avoided the tubing so may printers seem to need. The only thing I worry about is the lack of a maintenance tray. Having used large 24 printers for many years, I know that at some point this will fill up and cause problems or shut down altogether. I don't use the Canon software as I have always printed directly from Photoshop. Of course we have to use the Canon Driver, but it seems to work well enough. Nothing is perfect, but so far I am glad of the purchase.

It was fairly easy to set up and get started with the online and app features. So far I'm happy with the quality of the print and capabilities to make adjustments in app. I love not having to purchase ink for this thermal printer which saves me time and money!

These print well in my Casio CW-50 Thermal Printer and I don't ever recall having a bad burn with one of them. Although they are rated at 16x, I usually burn at 8x and have never had a problem.

I've never had a recording or playback problem with these DVD+Rs and the white inkjet coating works great with my Casio CW-100 thermal disk printer. Not all inkjet coatings work with the thermal printer but the coating on these DVD+Rs works perfectly.

I love this printer. Right selection of media to choose from and no ink to replenish (Thermal) you can print using the app for your phone or a USB cable to print from your computer. Compact and easy to use.

I love that it auto-senses the size of the labels when you load them, so you don't have to configure the software for the labels you select. Switching rolls of labels is fairly simple. This is a direct thermal label printer, so the labels do fade over time, especially if exposed to sunlight (compared to the longer-lasting, thermal transfer labels from much more expensive printers). The labels look fresh and crisp when newly printed and are great for printing postage or shipping labels. The compact size means it's always ready to go without taking up much desk space. Great value and a quality product!

I've been using these discs for several years for my Teac P-55 thermal printer. We've had virtually no issues with them. The lack of spindle is kind of a pain but not a deal breaker. They have a low error rate and look great when printed on with the correct printer.
