[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This label printer was simple to set up and get started with. I love that it auto-senses the size of the labels when you load them, so you don't have to configure the software for the labels you select. Switching rolls of labels is fairly simple. This is a direct thermal label printer, so the labels do fade over time, especially if exposed to sunlight (compared to the longer-lasting, thermal transfer labels from much more expensive printers). The labels look fresh and crisp when newly printed and are great for printing postage or shipping labels. The compact size means it's always ready to go without taking up much desk space. For years I used the P-Touch Label maker and decided because I'm on my desktop computer more and more these days that i would treat myself to a Label maker that allowed me to display on screen the label , size plus add characters and symbols like Chinese symbols , all from my computer and then print the label quickly and error free . No more wasted tapes printing out what i thought I had typed. This unit sits neatly next to my desktop screen within easy reach . The only fault would be not having a Shortcut on-screen so I don't have to hunt it down among my other programs . But anyway I love this Label Maker . 5 |

I was contacted by my account manager at Label Power who advised the LX900 would be discontinued, as my label printer is quite a vital piece to the on-going nature of my business I was quite down reluctant at first. Once I understood the parts would no longer be available I decided to upgrade and was pleased at the outcome 5 |
