In a touch screen digital world, switching from Logitech MX Master mouse to Kensington Expert felt like going Back to the Future. I gave myself 7 days to work only on Kensington Expert Mouse. The tactile feedback of a large ball turned out to be extremely satisfying experience. The feature I've used the most on MX Mater, and I thought I would not have on Expert Mouse was a thumb-wheel function, which was setup to switch between the 3 virtual desktop screens I have on my Mac. Quickly I've discovered that the top buttons on the Expert Mouse are perfect replacement for my MX master thumb-wheel. I've also programmed top buttons to run Expose when pressed simultaneously - the feature I used on MX Mater with a thumb button. Now the biggest issue was a middle mouse click.. but it turned out to be as simple as programming two bottom buttons acting as the one, when pressed both at the same time. The big bonus is that if one needs to use buttons to perform different actions, one can do so. Kensington software allows per application button customization. I would consider all mentioned above as pros for this product.. now few if any cons - the scroll ring needs a redesign. At first I thought that I may have a faulty item, but watching couple of videos on the internet, I've found out that that gritty feeling is due to the ring design implementation. It's true.. the grittiness fades with use, but it's still far cry from a silk-smooth operation of MX Master scroll wheels. Minor cons is a somewhat high profile of the Expert Mouse. I have a large hand, so this is no issue for me at all. I'm looking forward to get the Kensington SlimBlade, which in my mind would eliminate high profile and gritty scroll ring. Overall.. if your desk keyboard/mouse space is limited, or you want to discover what you were missing all these years, using regular mouse - trackballs are way to go. Especially if you have a full size keyboard. Excellent product - highly recommended.

I have arthritis in my thumb & this trackball/mouse is fantastic. The large ball & the scroll wheel is very accommodating & easy to use.The wrist pad that is included is comfortable & attaches to the mouse so there is no slipping away.

I have owned Logitech trackball mouses since 2000. Most I loved, a few I used but recognized some issues. In general, I consider a thumb based trackball mouse to be the best out there. It uses a thumb which can rotate in any direction and is built for fine motor skills unlike the wrist driven mice. Here's why I like this particular mouse and call it the best I've ever had: 1. Everything is well built and works without issues. The ball itself swivels easily. It's easy to clean. The buttons work. It sticks to the desk and doesn't move 2. Bluetooth is a dream. It connects easily to my Mac and stays connected. It's just rock solid in that way. 3. Battery life is long. I have usually forgotten the last time I replaced the battery by the time I swap in a new pair. I was a bit worried because I wanted to use bluetooth and Logitech warns that bluetooth connections consume more battery than their proprietary connector 4. It's easy to use Mac config to set tracking speed, scrolling speed, and double click speed. Overall, this is the best mouse I've owned.

I love this mouse. It's wireless, the trackball is located in the middle so you use your forefinger, not your thumb, to navigate, and best of all, if it's dropped or falls off the surface it's on, the trackball doesn't come out! I have spent too much time searching for stray trackballs. Buy it now!

Much prefer the trackball to the mouse. I use an iMac with a 27 screen and the trackball allows me to zip the cursor across the screen quickly with a minimum of effort. Also, the Kensington trackball has four programable buttons which I use to bring up my email or stock portfolio or a preferred application with a simple click of one of the four buttons. Trackball doesn't need cleaning as often as a mouse and when required, is simple to clean.

I've been a trackball user for over 15 years. Most of my day is spent doing graphic design, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. After learning to use a trackball I would never go back to a regular mouse. The efficiency this device provides is unparalleled, programmable buttons make repetitive actions/tasks easy. I actually bought this as a backup as my original Expert Mouse which is going on 7+ years, but still works perfect. Although now with lots of use some of the finish has worn off the buttons, etc. Kensington builds great products, hope they never stop making this mouse. Happy trackball user!

I use the Evoluent for my main computer. It is a large mouse and it does take some getting use to. It has three main buttons under the fingers, two buttons next to the thumb and the wheel button. All are programable with the downloadable software from the Evoluent site. The buttons are a little light but once you get used to them it works very well. I liked it so much I purchased one for my wife. Both are on computers that run Win 7 pro, no problems yet. I have been using the mice for 3 weeks.

I really like this mouse because of the side buttons for navigating forward and backward via thumb. In particular, I use the back button a lot when web browsing, and while in Windows file explorer. This mid-size mouse nicely fits my small/medium-size hand.
