Thunderbolt 2 To Usb3 Cable

This cable makes super-fast data transfers. I hooked it up to my Xcellon M2NS USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 M.2 SSD Enclosure and was very impressed with the speeds it provided. This cable and an M.2 drive are a match made in heaven and give blazing speeds. It also rated for 8k or dual 4k monitor support which is fantastic. Another nice plus is it is rated to handle 240w power delivery so it can be used to charge or power most accessories (laptops, peripherals etc.). This cable is definitely future proof and ready for whatever you throw at it, including the ability to daisy chain up to 6 additional devices. It is designed to work with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, and USB-C so it is very versatile. The build quality is also fantastic. Cable feels great and is flexible but still sturdy. This is a quality thunderbolt cable; not much else to say.

Plugged it into an older mac via USB3 and it worked great. Plugged it into a 2019 mac with adapters for the new thunderbolt interface and it worked flawless. Plugged it into my PC system and it has worked great. My systems see it as another Camera Option in all my web meeting applications. I am plugging in a switcher and switching live shows via this device.

This is a solid enclosure and I've used them for years. The fan is not silent but in most cases quiet enough. I've installed at least a dozen of these over the last 5 years and so far, so good. It provides Thunderbolt 2 and USB3 but you really buy this to use the Thunderbolt 2. Otherwise there is a less expensive USB3 only enclosure. We've used them to stripe two SSD's for a 4TB RAID and we've used them for backups with mirrored configurations. Can easily recommend.

i have been using Glyphs for a few years on my Mac (FCP) ... switched to Windows and Adobe CC (Premiere) for several reasons. On a recommendation from an associate (different studio), I bought G-Tech as it had thunderbolt and i wanted a little future proof. When i received the G-Tech, had nothing but fails from trying to reformat to for windows as well as encoding to and editing with. returned it defective within 2 days (i wrote a scathing review on the thunderbolt 3TB G-Tech that B&H hasn't posted yet that i can see). So, i got what i should have gotten in the first place. connected USB3 (via 7 port USB3 hub), Reformatted quick, encoded no issues, editing as it should be - fast, rendered fast, published job within 2 days of receiving drive - although two weeks later than scheduled having to wait for RMA and new drive. Glyph for life.
