I use this card to transfer photos from a 2TB thunderbolt drive to a computer that doesn't have thunderbolt. It works. I have found that as these cards heat up the transfer speed decreases, I filled a plastic container with ice, put the lid on and set the card reader on top. I purchased this Thunderbolt 4 cable to improve transfer speed between my MacBook Pro (Intel) and iPad Pro M1. Thunderbolt 4 cable made a HUGE difference, compared to USB C cable that came with the iPad. 6.6' is a bit lengthy but I am not complaining.
