Thunderbolt 3.0 Motherboard

Sure enough, Thunderbolt 3 is much faster than USB 3.0. And it is easy to clean up because it has a built-in cable. Connecting one memory and unplugging or inserting the other will not disrupt usage. The transfer rate is the maximum speed of the CFast. Even if you copy two memories simultaneously 5 |

Out of the box coupled with a Thunderbolt Rocketstor and Excellon USB 3.0 enclosure using Apple Migration assistant, I was up and going in about one hour. The speed increase is considerable if you are running VMWare or doing audio recording. 5 |

I have an HP laptop with 2 USB 3.0 ports and 2 Thunderbolt ports. I have 2 Western digital drives attached to my USB ports and wanted to use a third USB 3.0 drive to perform backups without having to use a USB hub. This works perfectly and has allowed me to attach my USB 3.0 backup drive as needed to the Thunderbolt port and it powers the drive fine with all drive functionality working. I also use it to attach my Sony XQD card reader to import photos and that works great too! Can’t beat this for the price and it has a small footprint so I just always leave it attached. 5 |

The CalDigit TS3Plus-US20-SG is the perfect solution to my tangle of cables. It does everything that it is advertised to do and does it flawlessly. I am running a 4K monitor at 60 Hz with no issues, And almost every other port is in use. This review comes with only one caveat: like most thunderbolt docks, when you plug a USB 3.0 hub into one of the USB 3.0 ports of the CalDigit TS3Plus-US20-SG, peripherals that are connected to the USB hub do not work well. You should continue to plug your USB hub directly into your computer if you have more than the seven USB peripherals that this dock supports directly! Since this is a known issue with thunderbolt docks, it does not detract from the five star rating! 5 |

I chose this motherboard because I cared about having Thunderbolt connectivity, but I also wanted to have a 10 gigabit network port on the circuit board without having to lose a precious PCI slot. I also used all the NVMe channels for four 4TB SSDs and installed the very latest generation of DDR RAM and a RTX 4080 graphic card that being from ASUS as well had the the advantage of being thinner. 5 |

I’m really happy with the ASUS ProArt Z790-Creator WIFI motherboard. One of the main reasons I picked it was for the Thunderbolt 4.0 ports, which are great for future-proofing. I haven’t had a chance to fully use them yet, but I plan to set up a remote workstation in my living room using an optical Thunderbolt cable and a docking station. It’s a solid option if you’re looking for Thunderbolt 4 connectivity. The board also comes with a bunch of M.2 slots, which is awesome for future expansion. I’m not using all of them right now, but it’s great to have that flexibility down the line. Another small but thoughtful feature is the Wi-Fi antenna with a magnetic base — my old motherboard’s antenna kept flopping over, so this is a nice upgrade. Overall, while it was a bit more expensive than I initially wanted to spend, I think it was worth the investment. It’s got everything I need, and it’s been reliable so far. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality motherboard with plenty of features. 5 |

A great motherboard that's easy to work with. I chose this motherboard because of its memory, NVMe, and CPU support, as well as its Thunderbolt ports. It is good-looking, very stable, and had all the interfaces and features you can wish for. It would have been great if there were a 19Gbps network interface, but that was an easy expansion. 5 |

I had an PCIe 3.0 to M.2 card installed on my PCIe 3.0 (Z490) motherboard. I recently went to vewrtical mounting of my GPU. It looks great. Anyway, my existing card was too tall. Bought a new card by SABREnt with a lower profile. This WD drive is now my fastest drive. Faster than either of the other 2 M.2 cards socketed directly on my motherboard. Faster than my primary samsung 970. B & H always gets stuff to me fast at a very competive price. 5 |
