Thunderbolt Cable For Macs

This cable works great for setting up Thunderbolt bridge between two Macs with USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 ports. Transfer speed is super fast with large files.

Thunderbolt cables will not work when connecting to pre-thunderbolt Macs. This was truly plug and play.

Thunderbolt 3 will work on T2 Macs at T2 speed with this connector.

This is a quality thunderbolt cable; not much else to say.

This is a fantastic thunderbolt 4 dock for M1 macs, which are typically notorious for having interoperability issues with thunderbolt 3 and USB-C docks. At first, I had some flickering on an HDMI to sabrent thunderbolt 4 HDMI hub but after installing the docking station software and restarting the computer, everything works perfect. Multiple keyboards and mice inputs are no issue and the thunderbolt 4 ports on the back work extremely well even with third part docks and hubs. I had a stardock USB-c dock previously and it would always flicker with HDMI, even if I was using its native port. The construction is metal and solid but tiny. Much smaller than my aforementioned previous one.

Moving from a pair of Macs with Thunderbolt 1 ports to a pair with Thunderbolt 3 ports, I needed a way to quickly migrate files form the old machines to the new machines. While not cheap, it did the job with flying colors. The alternative would have been from Time Machine backups over Wi-Fi which would take many hours...I've done it before. This adapter allowed me to transfer the entire contents of the machines in a half hour each. I also own a single Thunderbolt 2 SSD and this adapter allows me to keep using it with my new machines. If you're a Mac user like me who only upgrades to new machines once every ten years or so, this adapter is worth it's weight in gold.

If you have one of the newer Macs with the new Thunderbolt 3 connections, but you still have peripherals that connect via Thunderbolt 2, this is the solution. I am using it to connect a new Mac Studio to my Apogee Symphony 2 interface and it works great. Note that this will NOT work with a DisplayPort even though the plug is physically the same. I have an older display that does not have the new Thunderbolt 3 interface. An HDMI connection solved that problem. Make sure to use a good HDMI cable, as they are not al the same. Some are better than others. I LOVE my new Mac Studio, BTW!
