Thunderbolt Cable Macbook Pro To Imac

Migrated from an old iMac to a new MacBook Pro. Needed more connectivity than that offered by the three Thunderbolt 4 ports on the MacBook. Spoke with an associate at B&H Photo who recommended this dock. It handles all the connectivity I need for 2 external hard drives, a digital/audio interface, MIDI keyboard, Lightning connectors for my iOS devices, and more. I'm quite amazed that these are all connected to a single Thunderbolt 4 port and are working just fine without any lag. I was a little concerned that the Thunderbolt 3 Dock might not handle the job, but I've seen no issues. 5 |

Enables connection of multiple Thunderbolt cable devices as well as older USB-A cable devices to Thunderbolt MacBook Pro. 5 |

It works beautifully on the newer MacBook Pro computers with the thunderbolt cable outlet. It also has an SD slot which is now missing on the MacBooks, as well as two USB outlets and an HDMI. 5 |

I bought this thunderbolt 3 cable for the file migration/transfer from my old Macbook Pro 15 2017 to a new Macbook Pro 16 M1 2021. The cable provided a great speedup of file transfers during the migration process. Besides, this cable can also used for 1) power cable; 2) backup cable for iPad Pro with USB C connection; 2) backup and file transfer cable for future iPhone 15 with a USB-C connection. It is a great thunderbolt 3 cable to have. Recommended. 5 |

I purchased this Thunderbolt 4 cable to improve transfer speed between my MacBook Pro (Intel) and iPad Pro M1. Thunderbolt 4 cable made a HUGE difference, compared to USB C cable that came with the iPad. 6.6' is a bit lengthy but I am not complaining. I totally recommend this product if you are looking to improve transfer speed. 5 |

After running Lightroom and Photoshop on a MacBook Pro for about 5 years, I finally broke down and bought the Mac Pro. I did not realize how much time I had been wasting, twiddling my thumbs while the old MacBook churned away processing images. The Mac Pro is very fast and quiet and has a nice assortment of ports. After purchasing a Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter, I was able to quickly mount two daisy chained external Firewire drives along with a USB3 drive and a new Thunderbolt backup drive. It is also nice to have the 1TB internal flash drive for software and temporary storage. It took me a while to figure out that I needed a new, Thunderbolt to Display Port cable to connect the Mac Pro to my 27 inch NEC monitor. Once I got the NEC cable and a keyboard, I was quickly up and running with a monitor resolution of 2560 x 1440 (no adaptor required). Although the Mac Pro does not have an optical drive, I learned that it can share the drive on my MacBook Pro using WiFi or an ethernet cable. I was able to use this approach to install some software that I have on CDs. Overall, I am very happy with the Mac Pro. It may be the last computer that I ever buy. 5 |

I was successfully able to use my adapter with a Thunderbolt 1 cable to connect my G-Technology Thunderbolt 1 drive to my MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 3 ports. Wow, talk about a life changing event. 5 |

I got this cable to tether my Canon 5DMkII and 5DMkIII to my Apple iMac and my Apple MACBook Pro. It worked great using Lightroom app and the app for the Canon cameras. Very satisified! 5 |

For my new MacBook Pro M1, I first tried purchasing Caldigit's new Element Thunderbolt 4 hub. It was nothing but an endless kernel panic with the M1 chip. Caldigit implied that was Apple's fault for their implementation of Thunderbolt 4 ports, but I didn't let them make me stick around long enough to sort out who's fault it was. I returned it, and bought this OWC one and it's been SO much better! No panics yet, sleep works fine, everything returns from sleep (whereas Caldigit's would consider my Pegasus2 RAID an erroneous disconnection everytime it slept), and it's actually really nice having SPDIF (digital) audio out, ethernet, and the card readers. I wish this had one more thunderbolt port out, but then again, I could still daisy chain a couple of my thunderbolt devices no problem. So far so great for this OWC 14-port T3 dock. 5 |
