Thunderbolt Cables And Adapters

It's the right thing for the job. Other adapters will not work with Thunderbolt Drives.

Thunderbolt cables will not work when connecting to pre-thunderbolt Macs. This was truly plug and play.

Chargers/adapters on one side and cables on the other. What more can you say.

I've got a pair of these adapters connected to a Thunderbolt hub, and they've been completely reliable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of the Thunderbolt 3 Cables in exchange for my unbiased review of the product. I work remotely and keep cables with me, so that I can be very productive with file transfers. These type c to usb cables are great. They transfer data fast and effectively. You can use these cables for a variety of applications. I use mine to connect my Hp windows pc to my external monitor.

This will work in conjunction with Thunderbolt 2 Male adapters like a Thunderbolt male to FireWire 800 female adapter; I successfully connected these two adapters together between an external drive and a MacBookPro M1 Max to transfer over a terabyte of data in a reasonable amount of time. I haven't tested this product with my Thunderbolt male to Ethernet female adapter yet, but will update this review if possible afterwards. This product says that it does NOT work with certain Apple displays; I will test it with my BenQ display and update this review if possible afterwards. Happy (and relieved) that this product worked with another adapter!

I prefer the original Apple adapters verses generic. I still use legacy MacBook Pros & MacBook Airs with Thunderbolt 2, and still have Thunderbolt 2 devises & workflows, so this adapter allows them to stay productive.

Plugged it into an older mac via USB3 and it worked great. Plugged it into a 2019 mac with adapters for the new thunderbolt interface and it worked flawless. Plugged it into my PC system and it has worked great. My systems see it as another Camera Option in all my web meeting applications. I am plugging in a switcher and switching live shows via this device.

I am able to use this inside an external PCIe connecting with Thunderbolt 3. However with adapters, you are able to connect to Thunderbolt 2 connections. After testing, this works perfectly with older machines such as a Macbook Pro 2015 13”. This also works with new machines with Thunderbolt 3 of course. This is a really good product to capture many different sources using it this way.

When I saw Belkin was the same price as Apple’s thunderbolt 3 cable, it was a no brainer—you can’t go wrong with Apple adapters or cables. Size seems to be limited when it comes to data and TB3 chords. The $129 Apple TB3 cable seems way over priced, but the 2 standard sizes are solid, a decent price in comparison and Apple CService is top notch, just NOT as good as B&H, of course.
