I was leery for some time about buying a color chart/calibration tool. However, being in a period of time where I may find myself filming with both Sony and Blackmagic gear at the same time, this color checker has proven to be a critical piece of gear for my needs. So long as I think/remember to use this as my scenes and setups change, this has proven to allow me to match the colors between my cameras/setups more easily and has greatly reduced the time and effort I have to spend in post tweaking my colors to get them to look just right. I know initially I was concerned about buying one of these due to reports about them being cheap or flimsy and while yes, this is made of plastic, between the 1/4-20 mounting hole at the hinge to the folding design to protect the color squares, I have no concerns with handling this color checker no different than I would a laptop.

I didn't know how off my color matrix was until I used the chart. Worth every penny and saves valuable time in editing when I have to match cameras.

Yes, you can Ps and Lr a lot, but using this chart in each lighting set-up renders much truer color and save LOTS of time in post processing. The Only reasons photographers don't do this is (a) lazy or (B) don't think they have the time. Wrong on both. Easy to understand and use.
