The AKG P120 has very good dynamic range for a budget microphone. Excellent for voice, and quite good for instrumentals (cello and guitar), too. I use these headphones for more than just casual listening. I record tracks and mix instrumentals with these. Everyone says my mix is so clear and believed i use studio monitors. I have been using them almost everyday for about 7-8 months and they still work perfectly. I am going to buy some more expensive studio quality headphones but these held over well considering they only cost $. I am not an audiophile by any means but the i think there could be a little too much bass.
