Every now and again, you stumble across some kit that is just well built, and... just makes sense. These little gems replace the need to take the bottom tripod head slides on and off your gear, a pain in the butt on it's own. But when you want to mount your camera to a monopod, tripod, slider, desktop tripod, etc.. each of those typically have different ways to mount it. This device.. it's just genius. You but a few top mounts and put them on the camera bottom, slider bottom, even a tripod head bottom, and then attach the bottoms to the tripod, slider top slide piece, desktop tripod, monopod.. you name it. Now.. you can quickly remove the camera or slider from any of the tripods/monopods/desktop tripods.. and move your camera, etc to any of them as well. I realize you can do this with the various tripod kit.. but this is so much faster, easier, and it is just rock solid. Once locked in, it doesn't move. Quick turn (with a little bit of force... which is a good thing) and it pops right out. I have ordered 4 of these sets and plan on a few more to use for all sorts of things. Single way to mount/swap gear to a variety of mount points. At the very least.. buy one set, and try it on say your monopod and camera body. Like it enough.. buy another top and mount it to a different camera body. Now you can easily put either camera on the monopod in seconds.. faster than other methods. Well worth the price. 5 |
