I have had these headphones for almost 10 years. In these 10 years, they have been THE BEST headphones I have used for mixing. I have used a bunch of headphones and studio monitors in that time, and nothing has beat them out, not even the infamous Sony 7506 (given, cheaper, but more prevalent headphones in studios) Things to note with these headphones; they are not super low end present. If you are getting these to listen to consumer music, you may not like them because they are not "boomy" or "full". These headphones are for users who are looking for definition and clarity for making a solid mix. The other note is a MINOR complaint; the part of the headset that rests on the top of your head/hair has worn out for me. The muffs also wore out, but I replaced them. If there is a way to replace the foam under the band, please let me know because I would love to have them looking brand new again. I broke the cable that came with the headphones by accidentally vacuuming it about 2 years in (stupid, I know), but the detachable cable saved me some money. Also nice if you want to swap out different size cables. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to invest in headphones for studio mixing. 5 |

My wife works from home and wears the headphones all day 8-10 hours. It switches seamlessly between her iPad and Computer. She gets to listen during meetings and still can hear any surrounding noises or conversations. 5 |

I purchased a set of these for my home studio after using them in a variety of settings in the studio where I work. As others have mentioned, the bass response can be a bit deceiving. But I wouldn't recommend mixing with headphones alone anyhow. For composing/writing in the middle of the night or tracking live instruments, these headphones are perfect. (And much cheaper here, I might add). 5 |

I use this as a my home studio headphones. I'm a video producer and a bit of an audiophile so i take sound seriously. This are wonderful in terms of sound stage and clarity and are very different from my Audio-Technica ATH-M50x which i use now only as field headphones. The AKG are a lot lighter in terms of weight, you don't feel them on your head at all and can spend hours with them. They are very comfortable with large diameter of the ear cups. They are very much not portable, they don't fold and they are not built to withstand abuse on the field. for Home or studio use they are great and worth every penny. This are semi-open headphones which is great for me to use at home or at the office since it doesn't shut you out completely from the environment like the M50 does. I use it with Audioengine D1 amplifier and it works great. 5 |

I use it for a small home recording studio. It is very good for an inexpensive way to get more headphones to musicans. I have used Berhinger products befor and never been disappointed. 5 |
