Top 10 Semi Professional Video Cameras

I've had 10 different digital cameras. I've done professional video and stills throughout my working life. My G9II (and Gh6) is the best camera I've ever used. The AF on the G9II for BIF and sports is extremely good. The video is a professional grade documentary or B roll cinema camera. Pair it with Panasonic PL grade lenses and it becomes a tool with which you can do your best work. The handheld hires is amazing.

Im a semi retired professional DP and Director. This is one of the best action cameras ive used and ive just got started. Im waiting for my ND filters to put this camera through its paces but what ive seen so far has impressed me.

After a long break from using professional, or semi-professional, cameras. I finally decided to get the T2i with the kit lens. I definitely love it! I wouldn't buy any other entry level DSLRs. the only feature I would like from the T3i is the flip screen, other than that I don't see any reason to spend the extra money. Just watch a few videos online about it and you'll be convinced.

I am a semi-professional photographer. By that I work a normal job and get photography jobs randomly. One of my regularly scheduled events is a conference 3 times a year that requires me to move around a large arena quickly, with heavier lenses, but without distracting the audience if at all possible. For years I strapped on two cameras with their own straps and it was just incredibly difficulty and strenuous on my neck. I am trying to get setup for semi-professional video creation and wanted to generate good quality audio. After watching a lot of mic reviews, I decided to order a pair of the Samson C02 mics. While these are sold as instrument (drums, acoustic guitar, etc) many people have given them favorable reviews for dialog and even live action. Having received mine, I have done a number of tests both for inside dialog as well as taking them outside to check their sensitivity with ambient sound. I am using a Sound Devices mixer so the whole sound chain is pretty quiet, and I did not hear very much self-noise from these mics while they were able to pick up very faint sounds outdoor such as leaves rustling and birds chirping. They are somewhat directional but certainly not in the same way as a proper shotgun mic. All in all I am very glad I purchased these and I expect them to be with me for a good while.

Micro four thirds is great for on the go shoots and semi professional needs. The video at 4k is great and it works well with adapters for other types of lenses. Do recommend.

Using for editing semi professional video. Great for getting all the way to the point where you're ready to hear your mix through a pair of reference monitors.

I am a professional photographer for over 10 years now. Olympus entry level SLR's are the BEST out of all the big boys- plus the image stabilization is in the BODY- saving money on expensive VR lenses from the others. OLympus is the best bang for the buck- and the company is on the cutting edge of newer features and cameras like their EP-1 and EP-2 cameras. Don't go for the gimmicks of the other camera companies. All the big name cameras are great- but Olympus gives you more for your money. PLUS the ART FILTERS are nice too! GREAT IMAGE QUALITY AND CAMERA OPERATION!
