This mic boom is designed to be used to mic an acoustic guitar (or such) while the main, top mic is used for vocals. I use it to hold a pre-amp for my upright bass. The pre-amp has a mic thread on the bottom and this allows me easy access to adjust my volume and tone. It can be clipped either to a mic stand or to a music stand. Very impressive little product. This is my first time to buy a foot stool because I'm not really a classical guitar player. I just need one just to record one of my songs for which I play classical guitar. So I'm not familiar with foot stools, but I think this is very much good enough for my use, so I'm happy with it. And it was a good price for me, too. 5 |

I am a solo acoustic guitar musician and I used these for the first time last Saturday. I played at a medium size club and with the height adjustment I was able to elevate the speakers over everybody in the building. This helped in controlling feed back, which is always a problem with a acoustic guitar. I can't say enough about the ease of raising 60 pound speakers with one hand, the power asist is awesome! 5 |
