Top Gaming Headphones 2016

It's rare seeing a pair of headphones that genuinely shine in almost every regard. But with the WH-1000XM3, Sony has created an indisputable winner, a categorically top-notch set of cans whose only shortcoming is the absence of 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity, something we hardly ever see outside of the gaming market. They do have Bluetooth, though, so as long as you have a smart TV, an Nvidia Shield, a gaming laptop, or a Bluetooth-capable motherboard, you should be set for the reclusive world of active noise canceling. Unlike other noise-canceling headphones, the WH-1000XM3 use an unusually silent QN1 HD noise-canceling processor. In our testing, we found it was able to keep out most sounds, even on the crowded New York City subway. The battery does take a hit for this, but you can take solace in the fact that the WH-1000XM3 last 30 hours fully charged. After 10 minutes of being plugged in via USB-C, Sony claims they can deliver pristine high fidelity sound over five hours. And, to top it all off, volume and playback commands are touch-based. While this replacement part is advertised by Sennheiser as only for the newer version of Sennheiser HD 280 Pro released since 2016, it fit great my older Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones bought around 2013. It doesn't seem like the replacement part for pre-2016 headphones is readily available, so I'd say just go with this. There are off-brand replacement pads available online, but I question their quality - the original pads served me well so I hope these original Sennheiser ones will too.

I upgraded from a 2016 MacBook Pro. This thing is quick and the build quality is top notch. I like the feel of this air and how it sits on a flat c/m surface. The extra screen space is nice while the battery life in really impressive. One of the most solid computers I've ever bought.

I purchased these Headphones yesterday. After listening to several top of the line headphones the WH-1000XM3 came in at number one for me. They are the best sounding headphones that I have ever listened to and owned! The features are top of the line!
