Top Samsung Gaming Laptop Listing

I have a top of the line gaming laptop it had two m.2 ssd's and a one TB mechanical hdd and after having it a while I needed more room. I have never had any issues with the Samsung product line so I bought this SSD and wow my computer runs like new again and with two terabytes of disk space it has room again. Thanks to Samsung for such a great product and the price was great to.

I purchased a gaming laptop that only had a 500GB SSD and I needed more space so I looked at what B&H had to offer. I knew Samsung made great storage devices and SSD's so I purchased this and it came with a download of Samsung Magician which which gives you the results of how your SSD is performing. I installed it no problem (do not format it) and the system recognized it and now I have a 1 1/2 TB in my system. Highly recommended.

To start this gaming laptop meets every expectation you can for a top tier gaming laptop. The screen is crystal clear and the graphics are amazing. The keyboard with the aura sync is awesome the way it syncs with the screen. And fr it being a 18 inch laptop it is surprisingly light weight. All in all a must have for 2024

I believe Acer is one of the best values in laptops. But with value comes some compromises. For this purchase, I was just looking at raw specifications and wanted top-of-the-line or near-top for a 16 gaming laptop. (I was fine with a 13th gen Intel CPU b/c there really isn't any meaningful improvement to the 14th gen, so buying a laptop that has been out for a year is an even better way to save money). This laptop has fantastic performance - I use it to game and for video/audio editing via Premiere. I can run any game I care to play at max settings. The screen is surprisingly vibrant, even though it's not the mini-led. Be aware that battery life for this laptop (and most upper-end gaming laptops in general) is pretty atrocious (2, MAYBE 3 hours under light usage). If you plan to do anything processor/GPU intensive on battery alone..., it's not going to happen. This laptop is happiest being plugged in and acting as a desktop replacement more than a true laptop that you're going to carry around all the time. I love it because I can take it with me when I travel and have an awesome machine with a small(er) footprint. This laptop isn't the most quiet (the fans can get pretty raucous), it isn't the best-looking, and doesn't have the best thermals, but it is, in my opinion, a great buy at a very reasonable price if you understand what these types of machines are like.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This top of the line NVMe drive from Samsung continues their legacy of producing top of the line solid state drives. The speeds are around 7000Mbps read and write if installed in a desktop or laptop that supports PCIe 4.0 x4. I first tested the drive in a external enclosure and then moved it over to my laptop and getting it installed and setup was no problem. No software comes in the box but you can get Samsung's Magician software from their website. That software is a must if you want to manage, monitor, or customize your drive. Make sure to keep your drive firmware updated too as those can often provide fixes for existing or newly discovered issues. This drive has been great so far and I'll continue to use it as my primary boot drive. Gaming load times have noticeably improved for me too!

This is a great product - HOWEVER, it is PCIe 3.0, not 4.0. Therefore the speeds are really more in line with the 770 Mbps (I haven't tested this). I installed my Samsung 980 Pro NVMe drive and Samsung Magician verifies that this is only PCIe 3.0 x1. It's unfortunately, but the listing was incorrect. However, the Thunderbolt connectivity works well and it is a well constructed piece of hardware. For me, at this time, I was hoping for the higher speed transfer on the NVMe drive which is limited by this version of PCIe implementation. Love B&H and OWC but this item I am returning at this time. BTW - OWC tech support is fantastic. Highly recommend their products; for my immediate needs, Looking for a faster solution. I'm sure B&H will correct the listing error soon. PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive works fine, but operates at the slower speeds.
