Top Screen Recording Software For Windows With Camera

I’ve been using IK Multimedia audio software for years on a Windows PC platform. This was my first hardware purchase in order to use my iPad as a portable recording studio. You can use the iRig HD 2 to get extremely low latency when using and recording with your iOS apps (and also Windows PC platform) but my primary reason for this purchase is to have a robust yet compact portable audio interface for recording my guitar. IK Multimedia is well known for being makers of high quality audio software and hardware and this inexpensive interface is no different. It’s made of robust plastic and will allow you to connect to a several connecting ports like iOS lightning interface, USB, USB-C and also comes with the necessary cables for each! I plug my guitar into the iRig and run a cable from the amp output direct to my amp. I then plug a lightning cable from the iRig to my iPad. I use an app from Jam Origin called MIDI Guitar 2 which allows me to use my guitar as a real-time MIDI controller to then play my virtual synths. I then run the headphone output of my iPad to the monitors for the accompanying sounds. This is a great inexpensive interface that you will get a lot of mileage from.

I'm using this for recording with Camtasia screen capture software for training videos. It got me out of the laptop mic talking in a box sound. Quite pleased with it in all aspects. Sound, size, style - it works as expected and has improved the quality of my videos. It's compact enough to travel with, though it is heavy enough that I won't take it on business trips unless I'm certain I'll be using it.

I'm using the StudioRAID in a RAID 1 configuration recording security camera videos on a Windows PC. Setup was easy. It's recording multiple cameras 24x7 so it works hard and performs well. I like that there is no power brick. My only complaint is that it is noisy. It's the hard drives, not the fan. I've noticed this with other Glyph arrays. Usually it's not a problem as they are a server room or space that is already noisy.

CMOS camera and software provides excellent control over recording conditions. Recent viewing session had clear skies but windy conditions so the telescope image was very jumpy. Nevertheless, using short exposure times the resulting captured videos of the moon are excellent. I look forward to nights with more stable conditions in order to use long exposure settings on fainter objects.

With the included Parallels software I am able to develop for Mac, Windows, and Linux with only one machine.

Top notch customer service with this product. Had some issues with connecting my camera to the software and emailed them. Received a punctual response and they didn’t stop emailing me until the issue was resolved. The initial problem was on my end (had never registered my camera with Nikon), not theirs. Will update this review more once I get to the calibrating part.

Love the touch screen, the built-in light, and the fact that I can attach external mics, headphones and lights. I'm not crazy about the Pixela software, but that's a strike against the Canon software folks, not against the camera. Overall, I'm very pleased with this camera...sharp videos, and it's small and light and great to take on hikes!

My YouTube videos and vlogs are now so much better than before. I use it to shoot my product reviews, dream interpretations, and recipes. The wind guard on the microphone is a special touch I like. Prior to this purchase, I filmed an outdoor video on a slightly breezy day. I was appalled at the quality of that recording sound due to the wind. But with the ZV-1 that is never an issue! One of the things that drew me to the ZV-1 is the flip-out vari-angle video screen. I wanted a quality camera that I could see the screen on while I am recording. There is nothing worse than recording a video and thinking you are in the frame only to realize you are not. This eliminates that issue all together. It has ports for an external microphone, HDMI, and a micro USB. This allows for a ton of versatility. You can use a micro USB cord to charge the camera or you can buy an optional battery charger. I even bought a couple of backup batteries to keep the footage flowing even on lengthy trips. I paired the ZV-1 with the shooting grip and I will never go back. This baby is super versatile. It lets me click record, snap a picture, zoom in, and more all while keeping the focus on me and not turning the camera around. This allows complete one-handed usage. In addition, it makes a great little on the go tripod too. All of this fits into a small case making it ultra-portable. I love my ZV-1!

Works well with no issues using Windows 10. Software installed easily and is simple to operate.
