But with the WH-1000XM3, Sony has created an indisputable winner, a categorically top-notch set of cans whose only shortcoming is the absence of 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity, something we hardly ever see outside of the gaming market. They do have Bluetooth, though, so as long as you have a smart TV, an Nvidia Shield, a gaming laptop, or a Bluetooth-capable motherboard, you should be set for the reclusive world of active noise canceling. Unlike other noise-canceling headphones, the WH-1000XM3 use an unusually silent QN1 HD noise-canceling processor. In our testing, we found it was able to keep out most sounds, even on the crowded New York City subway. The battery does take a hit for this, but you can take solace in the fact that the WH-1000XM3 last 30 hours fully charged. After 10 minutes of being plugged in via USB-C, Sony claims they can deliver pristine high fidelity sound over five hours. And, to top it all off, volume and playback commands are touch-based. Never had Bluetooth headphones till now and I'm loving them.

This stereo receiver checks off all the features we need. The first selling points were the Bluetooth and FM receiver and the ability to connect to the room's built-in speakers in a small compact unit. It is a perfect size.

I use the headphones to listen to TV late at night via bluetooth. Between the Headphones & TV they connect automatically with easy volume controls.

After listening the SRH1540 for a week, I have no other choice than selling my Momentums, B&W P7, and the Beats Studio Wireless. I just can not stand their artificial sound...Certainly, $ is not easy to spend on headphones but when you buy something that sounds like $, it's well worth it. The SRH1540 are big, so keep that in mind if you are planning to use them during a flight. Their use makes more sense at home, on a nice comfy sofa. At first, they sounded great with my 15 inch macbook pro retina. However, I had previously purchased the Audioquest dragonfly v1.2 (DAC/AMP) and the sound now is spectacular. A 5 star product. How did I find these headphones between so many brands, well, after reading the review from what hi*fi? Best 2014 home headphones. If you haven't read that review yet, take the time to do it.

You may want to consider a Bluetooth adapter for your headphones rather than this. They are harder to loose and more convenient.

Software is wonky but once you connect it’s the best sound for Bluetooth headphones
