Total Eclipse 2024 Homemade Glasses

I used these glasses when I shot the 2024 eclipse. perfect aid to use.

To shoot the 2024 total solar eclipse, I wanted a remote way to trigger my Sony 10 RX4's exposure-autobracking feature every five seconds or so. The camera requires the shutter to be held down during the full bracketing series, so the remote has to act both as an intervalometer and a bulb-like shutter control. The ShutterBoss has both capabilities. It is also very intuitive to set up. Rehearsing showed it would have worked great if clouds hadn't completely obscured totality at my location.

I ordered this in anticipation of taking a trip to the US from my home in Alberta to catch the 2024 total eclipse. There’s really not much to say about beyond it works well. Shipping to my home in Chestermere Alberta was prompt and hassle free as is usual for B&H

I used this for the April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse in the US and it worked perfectly. Using f/32, 1/30th second shutter speed, ISO 125 with a 200 mm, I was able to get clear shots and even saw sunspots.

I purchased this gimbal and a Benro tripod primarily for use on the recent 2024 total solar eclipse. It is a quality product and worked flawlessly. The images I got were in part due to the stability and ease of use with the tripod and gimbal combination. Great service by B&H.

Purchased this filter to use during the 2023 Annular Solar Eclipse and the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse. Happy with the results so far from the 2023 event.

I had originally gotten this to watch the total solar eclipse 2024. I then realized that i can use to for watching solar flares on other days too. This binoculars was a big hit during the eclipse and was used by many of my friends during the event. This is best used on a tripod to eliminate shake, which I do.

Purchased for the 2024 Total Eclipse. These were the best value at the time and I purchased the 10-pack to have extras to be able to give to anyone that needed a pair where I was viewing the eclipse.

The Celestron solar filter is absolutely required for viewing the 2024 total eclipse. It works great! Fits my scope perfectly.

I used this to protect my Nikon D810 camera during the 2024 total solar eclipse. Because it's not rated for viewing with my eyes, I used the external display on the back of the camera to frame/focus. I did have a focusing problem (due to my inexperience) that I later resolved. It doesn't color the image of the sun so it doesn't appear yellow/amber as other filters will do - but the result was fantastic. (I also put a cap over the front of the lens when I wasn't exposing for an image as a level of protection.)
