I used this for the total eclipse and found it indispensable. This really changes low light or tripod work. Great if taking a group photo.

Used two of these in an APM 82mm bino-scope for the total eclipse, performed admirably and in a nice small, light and comfortable viewing form factor. Definitely keepers and I look forward to the views at night!

This was a purchase for securing my tripod during the August 21, 2017 total solar eclipse. I didn't have any problems with the sandbag.

I ordered the eclipse glasses online and provided my phone number as part of the order form. The total purchase was less than $15 but in this time when online fraud is so common, they actually called me to confirm that I placed and wanted the order. I've never had that happen before and was impressed by how much they look after their customers. Thank you! As for the glasses, they're great too. Very dark lenses, as they need to be for an eclipse. When I tested them, the only thing you could see with them was the sun. I was concerned about what I'd get for such a low price but they're perfect. I recommend.

I bought the filter for the April 8th total eclipse. The shots were sharp and provided good protection for my camera. (I covered the lens when I wasn’t taking pictures.). The biggest benefit was that I could check my focus and exposure during the partial eclipse, then during totality, I just took the filter off and I was ready to shoot. (I learned online that the exposure settings with the filter before totality are the same settings during totality with the filter off!) The filter gives you a white light image.

To shoot the 2024 total solar eclipse, I wanted a remote way to trigger my Sony 10 RX4's exposure-autobracking feature every five seconds or so. The camera requires the shutter to be held down during the full bracketing series, so the remote has to act both as an intervalometer and a bulb-like shutter control. The ShutterBoss has both capabilities. It is also very intuitive to set up. Rehearsing showed it would have worked great if clouds hadn't completely obscured totality at my location.
