Touch Screen Laptop With Dvd Burner

When I went with a new laptop for video editing that did not have a DVD, Blu-Ray burner installed. I checked out B&H's website. I knew that I did not want the flat, small, plastic external burners I already owned and did not like. The Mercury Pro is built like a tank. I like the fact that in order to load a disc, you must access a draw, drop the DVD in the holder, not snap the DVD on to a center piece. In the short time I have used the Mercury, I've successfully burned 10 Blu Ray discs.

I needed quality blank DVD's for my laptop and external burner, so having prior experience with Verbatim in the past, I choose this DVD RW pack. The RW means you can erase the and write to them again. So I can backup my computer in case of hard drive/external drive failure, verify it's working and re-write to them sagain.

It was very hard to find a CD/DVD external burner for my MacBook 12 laptop. It tried several but all needed extra external power even though I used the Apple adapter. The Apple USB SuperDrive works just great. Problem solved.

Works as well as intended. Used primarily for laptop touch screen.

It's a slim leightweight laptop with smooth touch screen. I like it and would recommended it for graduate students.

Used as an external/portable CD/DVD player/burner for several machines. Is instantly recognized by Windows 7 and is available for use in a matter of a few seconds after being plugged in. It needs two USB ports but no other external power source.

Great DVD burner for the price. It was easy to install and setup, actually Windows recognized it in device manager and updated the driver from their own database.
