I bought this screen (the 13.3 version) for a dual purpose - as an editing/reference monitor in my editing room (Adobe cc, da-Vinci resolve, unreal) and to use on-location connected to my sony FX6. So far - I'm very happy from the experience, especially when considering the very affordable price. pros: Image quality is good, brightness is enough for studio work (not sure for outdoors), connectivity is fair, almost no latency (their smaller F5 screen has quite a latency when inputting 4K signal that is being converted in-monitor); I've managed to get is to be relatively accurate color-wise, almost good enough to be used for professional color grading. HDMI input works great, and adapts to almost any format (4K, DCI, etc.) V-Lock battery option is great (haven't tested yet). I like the very simple stand which enables you to tilt it up/down slightly. cons: The screen is quite reflective; SDI is very strict as an input format and no conversion is offered by the monitor (the premiere timeline must be 1080P or lower, while HDMI input works perfectly. this poses an issue when trying to use SDI out to review 4K sources); Speakers are not good (but headphones from the monitor sounds ok). All in all, and hoping no issues will occur, I think it's a very worthwhile investment. Mercury playback on adobe cc does slow things down a bit, but latency with BlackMagic ultrastudio monitor and / or decklink and this monitor is almost unnoticeable. As for the SDI/HDMI issue - when connected to a camera you can set the camera to downscale, and in studio you should try to use HDMI when possible.

The monitor offers peaking and focus assist. Is a touch screen which you can zoom in for detail.

I have use a variety of approaches to monitor 3 cameras and a computer driven slide show at a production bench. I considered all the the multiview monitors but never pulled the trigger because of price. I have a few 24 TV's lying around from different studio and computer builds. This added to one of those TV's is my current go to production monitor. A word of advice, use a TV not a computer monitor. Computer monitors may not support the resolution you are feeding from a camera or passing through an on camera recorder. The pile of surplus TV monitors now has a few computers monitor in the stack. The beauty of this device is a display of 4 inputs that can switch quickly via a remote to 1 input only. Which can then be scrolled from input to input. Attach a headphone to the TV and you can also monitor the audio on that input channel. Or in the split screen mode, you can select which audio feed you want to monitor with the remote. My 4 channel audio switch is no longer on the bench. If you get really creative, add a bluetooth transmitter to the headphone jack and you can wander around your studio with bluetooth headphones monitoring sound. If you are running the original ATEM mini which lacks a preview view, this lets you see a 4 input preview. You will need a splitter on each input with outputs to both this switch and the ATEM mini. Or just buy the ATEM Mini Pro and you will have a 4 channel preview device with a lot less wires.

I have been waiting and searching for a +/- 27/28, touch screen, 4K monitor for several years. no one made it except a couple of very expensive commercial units (+/-$3-4k). This is the first product I've found that checks all of the boxes, plus being $1K. Excellent image, very good color, very interactive touch, fully compatible with my PC notebook computer. I really highly recommend it.

I searched for a specific size touch screen monitor as found this one. I was not familiar with the brand but while searching I found that viewsonic had the best ratings 2 of the past 3 years. It did come with minimal instructions in the box but B&H photo had some better instructions to download. So here is a couple of helpfull . Turn your computer off, plug in the included hdmi cable( connection under left cover panel at the underside topwhen facing the rear of monitor), plug in the included cord for the touch screen ( left side panel when facing rear of monitor. Plug in the included power cord. IMPORTANT: turn monitor on first and then turn on the computer. I had no issues on start up. This is used with a windows 10 system. This is a great product ,no issues. B&H also had the best price of anywhere I searched
