Finally saved enough money to complete this project. Did the Smoke Test with the Intel i7 12700 CPU and Samsung 1TB 980 m2 pcie ssd. Booted find. Updated to the latest bios. Good. Ready to install Windows 10. Great MB 5 |

I upgraded from an Intel i7-4790k. I didn't think this processor would make much difference because I have a nice graphics card (gtx 2070), but in VR games like Rec Room and I've noticed a huge difference. In rec room I used to have glitches that I thought were just from the game, but with the new processor I've now realized it was from the CPU not running fast enough. I'm very happy with this processor. 5 |
