5 stars if you want a unbelievably cheap plastic toy that allows you to take actual photographs. Yes, ACTUAL PHOTOGRAPHS!It's like the 1960's all over again. Truthfully, though, the Holga allows you to think about the photograph and not about all of the details modern digital cameras throw at you - white balance, exposure, etc. Digital can get in the way of creativity. The Holga allow you to do things that would be complicated Photoshop adventures with a digital camera - like double (triple, quadruple??) exposures (actually, more that 2 usually just adds confusion) and incremental microclick overlapping exposures. Enjoy, and don't worry. But remember, you only have 12 exposures (more or less, depending on your mood and how you wind the film) 5 |
