I use the MKH-8040ST set with Korg MR-1000 recorder for organ and choral concerts. Small size, and extended frequency response on both ends of audio spectrum results in very accurate recordings. No negatives come to mind.

A well made product, very study and well machined. Strong enough to hold my Digital SLR and standard zoom. I take it everywhere I go-perfect for travel.

Purchased a Play5 for the Study and a Play1 for the kitchen and am very pleased with both. The Play1 is a 'little belter' of a speaker and paired with another for stereo would produce a superb sound - but then two Play5s would be even better !! Piano, violin and similar instruments render beautifully and orchestral works put you right there in the concert hall. Some may claim that the Sonos speakers are a little brighter than those from say Denon's Heos range, but tweaking the bass and treble with Sonos's Equaliser (in Manage - Settings...), it's easy to adjust the sound to your personal taste. Hooked up the Play5 to my network/ethernet switch and my Windows7 64-bit PC via the in-line socket without any problems and the apps for the iPhone and iPad work well, as does the Windows app. The only minor niggle is that the apps aren't very intuitive when it comes to grouping/ungrouping the two speakers and setting individual volumes with a single or two different music sources. I am looking forward to many more happy hours of listening to classical and popular music - or other genres now everything is that much clearer.

The ear muffs are nice and sound great. A.N.C. Works well! I can just listen to my music and study without being distracted from side conversations.

I used it not for listening to music but for study and revision of zoom courses. Its sound is clear and voice loud enough for my other recording and revision purpose. For songs, voice amazing especially for the base. I love it. Its outlook is classy and becoming one of my favourite home furniture, not just a speaker. I am considering to buy another one for dinning room.
