it's a bit brighter than your actual signal... so i wish i had brightness/contrast control ... but the picture you get is spectacular and works awesome.. looks great too. get it!

I bought this to control 8 identical IR devices in a "new configuration" setup. (I have 2000 of these devices to load software onto) When I setup the devices and positioned the IR emitters on the devices, I only got a few correct commands sent to the 8 devices. I "thought " the problem was not enough signal to the IR emitters on the devices. It turned out that the controlling handheld IR Remote was sending TOO MUCH signal to the IR Receiver, distorting the output signal through the repeater. I found some colored cellophane (flood light gel filters, if you are familiar with those), and was able to use a dark "neutral density" filter BLOCKING 90% of the light, and a red filter blocking everything below 700nm. I taped those over the RECEIVER pickup, and "VIOLA", the 8 devices responded perfectly. So if you get intermittent control, try adding just a few pieces of satin scotch tape to the RECEIVER sensor to see if the control gets better. I was up to 5 pieces of tape with marginal improvement before I tried the colored and ND filters, and then had a repeatable solution.
