Transfer Computer Data To External Hard Drive

This external hard drive are that I was looking for, very faster data transfer, very well build... I bought it to storage pictures on vacations. I had to formatted it before use, don't care the software that come with..I delate everything it work perfect with my macbook pro. I've been using LaCie drives for about 25 years. These drives have always been very reliable. This drive is no exception. I recently replaced my 2013 MacPro with a new Mac Studio. When I replace my machines I also replace my external hard drives. Externals don't last forever. I feel that after 5+ years it's better to be safe than sorry. I bought this drive to use to hold my main data. Data transfer was reasonably quick. Editing photos stored on this drive I have not felt data transfer is slow or unreliable. Overall I highly recommend this LaCie external hard drive.

High capacity external hard drive. Quick transfer of data + very quiet. Excellent rubber padding makes it a bit more bulky, but so much more secure, especially when traveling. Would certainly recommend to a friend.

I received my 2TB external hard drive 2 days ago and have since backed up all the data on my computer. The external is quick and reliable thus far and I'm overall very pleased with the product and price. The external was $$cheaper here *so I was able to justify purchasing 3 years of warranty with my savings. This is my first B&H purchase, and I will be back for many more :).Best,Tara

This is my 3rd redundant WD external hard drive (all at once), to ensure backup of my data. I recently suffered a total hard drive failure of my computer. Bought new computer, ran everything including my back up email over to new computer, and I'm fine with no lost data. You cannot afford to not buy one of these if you have a computer!

Bought this to transfer all my data onto a larger SSD drive. Now I'm using the old SSD in this to use as an external drive.

Got it for a usb3 hard drive. Data transfer works good.

I used this to transfer data from my old laptop Hard drive to my new one for my Macbook Pro early 2011. The adapter made data transfer so easy and took the guessing game out and worry out. I had no data loss and you could not even tell once the transfer was complete that you even switched hard drives. It's just like there was a hard drive in there all this time. The only issue I had was since my laptop runs on usb 2.0 the transfer was slower but if I had a usb 3.0 connection I'm sure the speed would have been quicker.

Simple to use and very quick to transfer pictures and files from old external hard drive.

Purchased this to transfer photos from another WD 4TB external hard drive as a backup.
