I wanted a way to back up my computer without using tons of DVD-Rs. So, I figured an external hard drive was the way to go. After I received it, I plugged it in. Talk about plug and play! My computer instantly recognized it! I don't know if it is like this on other computers, but my computer recognized it as a Local Drive, and not removable media. It has incredibly fast transfer, even when connected to a USB 1.1! Another thing I use it for is to transfer huge files form my laptop to my PC and vice versa, it is wonderful for that also! I really can't say anything bad about it! 5 |

This is my 3rd WD My Passport USB 3.0 HD.. the other two are 1TB & this one is 2TB. They all work flawlessly and very fast transfer rate. I'm using this one to store my photos. I have a Nikon D7100 24MP camera and each picture is around 12-15MB. That is way too big to keep thousands of pictures in the computer, so I transfer them to the WD portable HD. Works perfect and I free up computer space so it doesn't slow down. Great product, reliable and blazing speeds. 5 |

My new Lacie external DVD burner came with two USB cables in case it needed extra power. Mine did, but my Mac powerbook pro, 2.16 Ghz has only one port on each side and the Lacie cables are not long enough to reach. This product solved that issue. However, I still have a problem with the drive. Almost every other time I use it the computer defaults to the computers DVD burner, which has an optical problem. So I have to reset the Pram every time this happens in order for the computer to default to the Lacie. Shouldn't be this way. 5 |

Very happy with this hub. You can never have too many USB ports and I love that this adds 2 USB-C AND 2 USB-A ports to my computer set-up. I haven't done extensive transfer tests, but its transfer speeds are more than fast enough for my needs. The specs say up to 5Gb/s. and I have no reason to doubt that speed. This hub is also plug and play. My computers see it as soon as it's plugged in. The USB-C cable is integrated, meaning you won't misplace it and it is always there when you need it. I personally prefer that. This hub is also a good size, plenty small enough to use with a laptop and for it to be portable. It has a built in LED display letting you know that the computer sees it. I appreciate that feature. I've had other hubs without a display light and that was annoying. The build quality is also good, especially at this great price point. It is made of plastic, but a quality plastic. It feels sturdy and well-made in my opinion. I've had zero issues with this hub. It works right out of the box and provides very good transfer speeds. I use the product to transfer large files from one computer to another in different apartments. The WD external 1TB USB 3.0 transfers the files much quicker from some of my older USB ports which are 2.0. The external drive comes in a case, which is very good for protecting it since, I carry it in my purse at all times. It does the job and I am very happy with the product. 5 |

Using using for back-ups, and to transfer files to another computer. Unfortunately, my computer uses USB 2.0, so can't get full speed out of it. It is quiet and fast enough for what I do. 5 |

This reader works just as advertised, right out of the box. I've had zero issues. Plug it in and the computer sees it right away. There's no need for downloading drivers, it is truly plug and play. And I love its size, nice and small. You could easily put it in your laptop bag or even a pocket if you needed to do so. It provides fast transfer speeds; specs say the USB 3.2 Gen 2 gives speeds up to 10 Gb/s. It's been more than enough speed for my needs. The build quality is fantastic. It is made of aluminum which keeps it very lightweight but still very strong. It is very sturdy. The aluminum material also helps to dissipate the heat. The ports also seem well-made. The USB-C cables fit snug and secure. It has a soft material bottom that keeps it in place on your desk and prevents any scratching. It has a little blue led light that lets you know it is communicating with the computer too, which is very helpful and I appreciate. If you've had a reader without an LED indicator, you know how annoying that can be. Both card slots have a push locking system that is receptive and responsive. The reader itself has a bus powered USB-C port, but the reader comes with both a USB-C to USB-C and a USB-C to USB-A cable. This is very helpful. Most of my computers have the faster USB-C ports, but my older MacBook Pro only has USB-A, so to have that flexibility is appreciated. This is a great card reader, well-made, easy to use and has fast transfer speeds. It's working great for me. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review] 5 |
