Transfer Files From External Hard Drive To Laptop

Simple to use and very quick to transfer pictures and files from old external hard drive.

My external hard drive arrived when expected and in great condition (packaging). It was a little heavier than the Seagate I have, but that's ok. It won't be moved from office. I ordered this large drive for my fiance's laptop, to use as a backup for important files, and to store excess files not being used but once in a while. I needed the 1.5TB because of audio recording files, which are very large and almost wiped out the laptop's small hard drive space. It was a very easy setup, no problems. I was delightfully surprised that I didn't have to deal with WD software telling me what to do, how to setup for backups, etc. I wanted to have full control, and that's what I got. I'm very happy with my purchase, so far. Haven't had for more than a couple weeks, so we'll see how it goes. First WD purchase.

My laptop was having issues and i was lucky i purchased the WD external hard drive to back up my files and copied them just before my laptop broke down . Thanx

It was easy enough to set up, transfer files from a different external drive through the front USB port, and start using it remotely and as a local network drive.

I used this to transfer data from my old laptop Hard drive to my new one for my Macbook Pro early 2011. The adapter made data transfer so easy and took the guessing game out and worry out. I had no data loss and you could not even tell once the transfer was complete that you even switched hard drives. It's just like there was a hard drive in there all this time. The only issue I had was since my laptop runs on usb 2.0 the transfer was slower but if I had a usb 3.0 connection I'm sure the speed would have been quicker.

This external hard drive are that I was looking for, very faster data transfer, very well build... I bought it to storage pictures on vacations. I had to formatted it before use, don't care the software that come with..I delate everything it work perfect with my macbook pro. Purchased this to transfer photos from another WD 4TB external hard drive as a backup.

i've only had the hard drive for couple of weeks, but so far, it has been working perfectly, and i can transfer big files quick and easy.

I bought this to transfer files from an old computer to the new one, and now leave it plugged in as a second hard-drive. Great capacity and speed for the price.

I'm impressed with My Passport's hard drive, it's the third I buy. It's easy, portable - I carry it everywhere - and so far it has been really fast to transfer big video files. It's great to transfer and store large files.
