Great laptop and very easy to set up and transfer all my files from my desktop

Bought this to transfer files to and from my Moto E 2nd gen phone and my Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Worked like a charm. Plug one end into the phone and connect my flash drive to the other end start transfering.

I use it mainly to carry my lossless music, few downloaded movies, some important files and software. This T9 SSD is pretty light-weight (only 4.3 oz) and slightly larger than a credit card. The SSD is made in Korea, and its data cables are made in China. Two cables are included: one is USB-C to USB-C and the other one is USB-A 3.0 to USB-C. Both cables are 0.5 meters long and sturdy. It comes pre-formatted with exFAT. Reportedly, this drive has 170 GB cache, which helps with extremely fast file transfer. Positives points: + T9 SSD has aluminum case, and covered with non-slip rugged rubber exterior, which is certified for 3 meters of drop protection + It has internal thermal (heat) protection, so it never gets hot + Complete silent operation + Durable, has 5 year warranty + Blazing fast file transfer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, what a great addition to my mobile system. For a few years, I've abandoned my MacBook Pro and do all of my work on my iPad Pro. I do mostly photo and graphic design, and transfer large files back-n-forth to clients and printers. Although the iCloud is a fantastic source for storage, sometimes it's useful to have access to files and assets where the internet is not so great. The Samsung T9 Portable SSD is the perfect portable device that I can tuck into my iPad travel case and take it wherever I go. Because it's small and quite tolerant to handling, I never worry about it being damaged. So simple to use. I just plugged it into my iPad with the included USB-C cable, and there it is, with all of my files. And did I mention, "It's so fast?" The transfer rate is incredible. What more can I say? I really like the Samsung T9 Portable SSD and so glad to have it.

I needed a laptop for the transfer of very large video files in the field. My previous MacBook was taking way too long due to older usb ports. I purchased a thunderbolt / usb 3 card reader from B&H. MacBooks have multiple usb c ports but they are expensive and this system was mainly for the file transfer of Red r3.d files. I’m usually shooting at 7 or 8K resolution. My office editing system is a large HP workstation so a pc makes more sense to me. The problem is finding a laptop with multiple thunderbolt ports. The B&H representative led me right to the HP Envy. It has dual thunderbolt 3 / usb c ports and an i7 processor. It was on sale and I was actually surprised by the price. B&H shipped it and I had it the next morning. My first test was the transfer of 548GB of footage from the new mini mag card reader to a usb c ssd. I was impressed that it took only 13 minutes. That the same speed as my workstation using thunderbolt 3 / usb c ports. That solved my in the field file transfer time problem. As an added bonus I was able to play back Red 8K footage at 1/4 resolution using the Cine X Pro software. It looks great on the 17 inch screen. Setup was easy. B&H was great.

Both dives allow me to easily transfer files from my laptop to my desktop computers. I find it very easy to use.

I use it to store files and easily transfer them from PC to laptop to tablets. It is recognized by all devices with no input from me. It is faster than my old shared drives and it is small enough to put in my pocket and carry it with me.
