Transfer Hard Drive To New Computer Windows 10

I use this hard drive to backup my pictures and data. It easily mounts on my Windows 10 computer at home and is easy to use.

The speed of data transfer is amazing. The hard drive is compatible with both the Windows and Mac file system i.e. amazing. Plus it is very handy to carry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I take so many photos almost every day, that I don't want to store it on my actual desktop computer. I needed a removable hard drive to be able to save my photos and keep them safe. This Western Digital 4TB removable hard drive "My Book", has been so easy to use. Every week or so, I make a point to upload them and transfer to this hard drive. Once all is transferred, I eject it and keep it disconnected from my computer in case a virus should attack it. This happened once before and I lost everything. I vowed to never let that happen again. This hard drive has massive space and the transfer is quick and easy. I would absolutely recommend.

I've used this device for over a year. I used it pretty hard when I first got it. It was a drive for a Windows 10 IoT install on a Raspberry Pi 4 for almost 2 months. The drive still writes data at around 230 MB/s and reads at almost 380 MB/s consistently. On USB 2, it starts at around 300 MB/s but slows down to 6.7 MB/s and stays there for the rest of the transfer. This is a solid USB drive. Best one I've used so far.

I replaced a 250gb hard drive in an old 2760P running 64-bit Windows 10 Pro. The drive was cloned using Paragon HD 15 and secured using Bitlocker. The old 2760P is humming along nicely now. Sandisk has software that you can download to trim the disk and keep track of wear, etc. Great price and fast delivery from my favorite online store, B&H!!!!!!

I only have the operating system (windows 10) and a couple of programs on this hard drive. My desktop recognized it immediately and it boots up and shuts down much faster than before.

This is a solid hard drive. I wanted a good 2TB hard drive to use as a backup drive in my Windows 7 home computer. Using hard drives larger than 2TB is painful with Window 7. So, I wanted to get as much storage as I could. B&H had a GREAT price on this drive.
