Transfer Lightroom Catalog

I needed a new HD to transfer my Lightroom photos, catalog, and videos. I always liked the LaCie brand and went with it this time. The setup was easy, truly plug and play. Highly recommended.

Moving about 80,000photos to this beast so I have them on in one location, I have 2 one with my catalog in Capture 1 and one with the same catalog in Lightroom so one is the backup for the other.

I bought this as a home for a huge Lightroom catalog for one of my endeavors. It allows me to work at a speed comparable to working off of my M2 Max MacBook Pro's internal SSD, while saving tons of space on that internal disk. I can grab this SSD and connect it to any Mac running Lightroom and pick up where I left off as well. The product is extremely well-built, intuitive to use, and at a fantastic price for its capabilities and utility.

I now have three of these gems, two 1TB and a 2TB models. One I used to backup my photo laptop, one I used for the Lightroom catalog, and the last I use to hold photos I shoot when I'm on the road. No issues, and I like the look of durability.

I use this crazy fast drive for all my photos and Lightroom Catalog. Really handy when on the go, but also when just managing photos from home.

I bought this to store my Lightroom catalog and photo library so I could switch between computers. It's fast and performs well for this purpose. It seems to run cool. As always, purchase form B&H did not disappoint.

This drive is very fast. I keep my Lightroom catalog on it and can use the catalog wherever I go. At the moment there are over 100,000 previews on it and I can view my photos without having to have the originals. The USB connector collapses into the body for protection and there is a positive stop when extended to prevent it from withdrawing while trying to put it in your USB port. There is also a hole at the back end enabling you to attach it to your keychain or the like. I am very satisfied.

So far, so good! I've transferred my Lightroom catalog to this SSD and now I have room for a couple more terabytes. There is a very solid connection between the SSD and my new Mac. Is it the new Mac? Or the awesome connection cord that comes with the SSD? Try it and find out!

Now that SanDisk has brought out this version of their SSD, I have moved all of my photos and Lightroom catalog to this drive and have it connected full time. Works well and fast enough that it is a good alternative to using the internal SSD that came with my MacBook Pro

Using it with 2 Crucial 2 TB SSD's in mirroring mode for my Lightroom catalog and files while traveling. Had for about a month and it works great. Very fast. Took a little time to get into mirroring mode. After reading the instructions and pressing reset button everything worked.
