Trend Micro Password Manager Edge

Small size, great looking lens on a Z7ii. Great micro-contrast and saturated colors. Sharpness is crisp in the center wide open, sharp nearly edge-to-edge by f/4. Autofocus is fast and the focus ring turns so smoothly. No pouch or hood provided, I added a small Vello 52mm screw-in metal hood. A handsome couple when paired with the 28mm SE on a 2nd camera body.

Before deciding on a wide-angle lens, I rented both the 1.4/28mm Otus and the 1.4/25mm Milvus. I have, and love, both the 1.4/55mm Otus and 1.4/85mm Otus lenses, so I figured there would be no contest. After a week with both lenses, I bought this 1.4/25mm Milvus. On my Nikon D850, it is bitingly sharp edge-to-edge, and has amazing micro-contrast. I loved everything about the 1.4/28mm Otus but the focal length. For me, the 25mm focal length was more useful, and I don't feel like I've given up too much as opposed to the 1.4/28mm Otus. Images from this lens are spectacular, with breathtaking micro-contrast detail and that glorious ZEISS family look. This lens has become my second-favorite lens after the spectacular 1.4/85mm Otus (although the 2/135mm "Classic" lens is a very close third). This lens is very easy to focus, especially using Live View at 100%. Like other ZEISS lenses, the large focusing throw allows very precise focusing. I can't recommend this lens highly enough.

I purchased an Olympus Pen, E-P2. The Olympus Pen is a micro 4/3 camera that came with a 14-42 kit lens. For 90% of photographic situations, this combination provided me with excellent results. But, there are areas where flash photography is prohibited. Ergo I wanted a little faster lens. With an adapter, the MM2 from Olympus, the camera will mount and utilize this lens (as well as any other current Olympus lens). What this lens does on the E-P2 is amazing. Focusing is very fast, faster than the kit lens. Pictures are clear, crisp, and detailed from edge to edge. This is one fine lens. I can recommend this lens without reservation.

I just bought a second 55 mm Micro Nikkor after having used my first for over 30 years. This lens is small but very sturdy with very smooth focusing. Most important, it is the sharpest edge-to-edge lens I've ever used. Resolution, saturation, lack of aberration and sharpness are all tops. I have used this lens extensively for medical, macro- and scientific/technical photography in a wide variety of settings and under some pretty adverse conditions with flawless performance . I have also used this lens for copy and reproduction work in the old days where it also excelled. I eventually started using it as a general lens. Looking back at the great many images taken using both transparency and print films, the images taken with this manual focus (AiS) 55 mm Micro Nikkor are still among the best I have taken, even when compared to those taken with wide variety of the most modern autofocus, vibration reduction lenses with many more elements in multiple groups. My older lens eventually developed marked resistance to focusing because of the helicoid and lubrication, a known issue with this lens, especially the earliest ones made. But it took 30 years for this to happen. I still have my first lens and will continue to use it, but wanted a second while they are still made.

Works great and the only thing I had to set up was the option to have a password to protect it if someone else tries to use it.
