Triple A Cost To Replace Battery

I was very pleasantly surprised that my replacement battery was delivered to my door by courrier within 48 hr of my on-line order, which was placed on a weekend. This was the first time that I had ever tried replacing a battery instead to just buying a new UPS unit. None of the retailers selling APC products carry replacement batteries, and since I live in Canada, I expected that the cost of bringing in a replacement battery would exceed the cost of a new unit.. and be bogged down with customs duties.. etc. Battery was actually shipped from a nearby Canadian distributor. It is certainly more environmentally-friendly to replace a battery rather that throwing out a perfectly good UPS system. APC should do more to inform Canadian customers how easy it is (& cost -effective) to replace batteries. Perhaps include battery replacement information in packaging for new units.

I've wanted one of these for a while in order to use it as an intervalometer. Once the battery is in, the display is on until it shuts itself off. According to the manual, the display panel uses a liquid crystal display. With time, the display will become lighter and harder to read. In such a case, take the product to the nearest Canon Service Center to replace the display panel (at cost). So a built in cost to replace the display. I'll be curious to see how long this lasts.

I bought my first EIZO 9 years ago, when they were triple the cost of anything else I could find that got good reviews from color fanatics. I was told it would last 10 years and it did! This new CS2740 is, of course, even better! The color is even. It required very little calibration (via Xrite i1). Exceptionally good contrast. Controls are simpler to use than previous model. All-in-all, EIZO has maintained its reputation.

No, they don't replace regular triple riser combo stands. They're lighter and, while very sturdy, I wouldn't want to build a large menace arm on one. What they do replace, because of their light weight and compactness, is regular light stands, while also having the added benefit of being sturdy enough to rig frames and some heavier light heads. I'm grabbing another one to go along with the two I already have and am using them mainly as very sturdy light stands (usually) instead of how you would normally use a combo. Though, you can absolutely use them for most of those applications as well. Theyre lightweight, compact and versatile, and they make a great addition to any smaller grip truck or lighting van.

Triple 'A' batteries are light and simple to replace. The instruction booklet is excellent! Read it and practice until it it's second nature. Once learned the use is infinite!
