Tripp Lite Uninterruptible Power Supply Manual

I purchased this about 2 weeks ago as a replacement for my uninterruptible power supply on my computer equipment. Less than a week ago we had another power failure that lasted about 3 hours. The EcoFlow River 2 Pro performed better than I had hoped. It transferred power seamlessly and none of my equipment even sensed it had happened. The app made it easy to manage my power usage to insure that the most critical electronics remained available.

I did not start out to want an uninterruptible power supply, but only a very capable surge protector. Once I read about the benefits of an uninterruptible power supply I was convinced I had to have one for my equipment. Initially this unit was on back order and I was sure getting one would be taking a very long time. Thankfully the day came when B&H gave me the email saying my Cyberpower EC850LCD was on it's way. I've had it protecting my computer, Time Machine and external hard drive. So far just this week the unit gave me the time to shut down safely after a short electrical blackout. I know this was a wise purchase and I am grateful to B&H for their commitment to honor my order.

After extensive research, I decided on this particular product from Tripp Lite. What I found is that most units sold to musicians as "power conditioners" are truly glorified surge protectors, and often not even good for that use. Tripp Lite came heavily recommended from some very picky colleagues. Pricewise, it beat out any other remotely similar product. This thing is built like a tank - fits perfectly into my amplifier's road case. Easily handles the power and protection requirements for my amp and effects pedal power supply. As I often play venues with questionable electrical supplies, this Isobar 6 could not be more perfect.

Once you realize that most "power conditiners" are simply well marketed power strips, you need to check out Tripp Lite. The quality of build, combined with real power regulation, and an equipment gurantee make this a no-brainer.

I needed a shorter power cable from my Tripp-Lite on-rack power strip to my two TP-Link TL-480T+ routers. The shortened power cable provided does the job perfectly and I don't need to dress long power cords or use adapters that could get loose.

Although we use an emergency medical-grade generator for back-up power on our network, generators can cause unwanted power lags during switchover, inconsistent power, and unstable line noise that effects sensitive equipment. While connected to the Tripp-lite SmartPro 1.5kVA 1350W Line Interactive Sine Wave UPS our router, server, backup device and switches run smoothly and unaffected during surges, brown-outs and lengthy black-outs. Unexpected re-boots, unplanned configuration changes are a thing of the past. And, the sporadic data corruption problems we once had are gone. We also purchased smaller Tripp-lite units for mission critical workstations.

I has used Tripp-Lite products throughout my IT career and have found they always perform well. I've never had an issue with them.

Purchased since Tripp Lite had so many good reviews on their warranty. So far, it's doing great.

This unit by APC weighs in at 105 pounds so it's no light weight! Unpackaged and set up in a matter on minutes as the factory default settings is adequate for the intended use. The machine can be configured for use in a data rack where you can set it to for a controlled shutdown of servers and after power is restored a controlled restart, selecting 3 different power zones to restart in sequence to get your network back up and running without any user input needed. It is about the size on a large desktop computer and comes with Data Rack mounting hardware or can be used with included floor stabilizing feet.
