Trumpet Like Brass Instruments

I will be using this for recording vocals, instruments (bass, trumpet, guitar, sax) and synth (strings, piano, etc.). Having tried it on synth samples thus far, it adds a mellowing and pleasing analog feel to the recording quality. Excellent manufacturing and presentation. 5 |

I use this for live recordings of trumpet, trumpet ensembles and brass groups. Ive used it in both live halls and in my home studio. Ribbon is the way to go for horns (and vocals of course). Very warm and complimentary to trumpets and deals very well with high SPLs. I use it with a Zoom H4-N and an M-Audio Audio Buddy. A preamp for some added gain is def needed as well as a GOOD mic cable. Tilt the mic back (or forward depending on acoustic environment) about 30 degs or so at about 8 feet back and 8 feet up in a nice hall or church. You will NOT be disappointed. Ordering a second one soon. 5 |

This is a work horse mic used by every sound engineer to record any type of instruments:brass, percussion, etc. 5 |

I use this mic to record string and wind (brass mostly) instruments. The different patterns make it effective in a variety of spaces depending on whether you want to reject other sounds or include reflections. Versatile and great sound quality. 5 |

High quality filter, as I expect from B&W. Like the brass ring. 5 |

This is a simple device but well designed. Like brass as it screws on much better than plastic ones. Highly recommended. 5 |

Awesome for recording trumpet solo work! 5 |

This is a phenomenal filter. Like all other B+W filters, the Schott glass and brass construction is rugged and optically perfect. The filter ring is thin enough that I have not noticed any vignetting on any of the wide angle lenses that I've used it with. If orange is the contrast filter that you need for your work, you can't go wrong with this filter in any size. 5 |
