Just what I need for my new Canon R5 Mark II, these are fast and run much cooler than SanDisk.

I recently purchased the Canon R5 Mark II and wasn't sure if the BR-E1 Wireless Remote Control would work with my camera because it's a new model and was not on Canon's compatible list. I took a chance because I knew I could return the remote to B&H if it didn't work. I was also a bit leery because the directions for the remote said it only worked with single shooting. But that was not true, it also works with continuous shooting. Pairing the remote control with the camera was super easy because the R5 Mark II actually had a menu setting specifically to pair with the wireless remote control.

I thought my R5 Mark II could use this. No, but it is backward compatible. Works great, I'm keeping it for my future cameras !

We purchased a R6 Mark II when they launched and wanted a SmallRig to encapsulate it since we've got one on our R5 as well. The SmallRig fits perfectly, maybe even better than the rig for the R5. It does not add too much extra bulk / weight but does add a lot of connection points for our microphone and LumeCube light. It's a must.

Do I like it any more than my EF 35mm f/1.4 mark II? No, it's not better than that glass. It'd better not be. But, for its little size & weight, plus IS, it does deliver so much. It's now my favorite glass with R5. Very easy to carry around and small and light enough that I can even do selfies with family, thanks to R5's eye detection. I used to carry big heavy glasses and didn't want to ever compromise, but perhaps I am getting wiser, or just older.

I have been shooting with the R6 for about 2 years. My spouse said they would like to start using my R6 and that I should get myself a new camera. The choices were: replace with same, upgrade to the R5, or upgrade to the R6 mark ii. I shoot mainly wildlife. I tried the R5 and returned it, after trying really hard to like it. It could have been a defective unit, but I did not find it to be an upgrade for what I shoot. I recently acquired the mark ii and I immediately fell in love with it. The autofocus is a huge improvement. I love the raw burst with pre-capture. The image quality is a smaller improvement but all improvements are a plus. I can strongly recommend this camera to a new mirrorless user or as an upgrade to the R6. This camera can help you take photos that would previously been impossible ( pre- capture). That is a pretty big deal!

Capable of recording 8K RAW video on the Canon R5 Mark II without any issues. Love when products work well, and this does just that.

I use this with my Canon R5 Mark II. It works great and it is very strong. It's comfortable to use also. I accidently dropped a camera before, so with this, it's good to know it won't happen again. I also have the Peak Design Clutch. I like to keep my camera safe. :-)

The R5 Mark II does get overheated in warm climates (95+ F or lower temps with high humidity) making this a necessary adjunct. The fan is not temperature triggered. It is manual: off or on set through the configuration panels. When on, fan speed is selectable: high, medium, and low. Because of its architecture this grip does not function as a standard grip with duplicated controls. I have not used the Ethernet connectivity. NOTE: When the R5 starts to get warm a temperature gauge appears in the viewfinder with bars going from green to red and when hot it will automatically shut down. Canon suggests turning off the R5 anytime you can in warm situations. This does work very well.
