This is a nice compact 7 port USB hub. I didn’t order it for the switches, but it turns out they are very useful. If you have a card reader or a portable drive plugged into this you can just turn them off with the switch when you don’t need them. My Hoodman card reader gets warm plugged into a USB port when it’s not in use. So I just turn it off and save wasted power instead of fumbling around with the cables trying to unplug it. I’ve had it for a week and it’s worked fine with two card readers and a portable external drive while I been transferring my photos. 5 |

I needed something portable yet sturdy. I turn to the good folks over at Really Right Stuff for all of my tripod needs. The reason I went for this instead of the one with the integrated head is because I have a Nikon Z9 and it's a heavy camera, add a lens and I just needed more reassurance. I ended up getting the BH-40 and they are the PERFECT combo. 5 |
