You're also to update and main the soundbar via the LG Soundbar App. Within the app you can adjust the output volume for each speaker. This is ideal if you live in an apartment or you don't want to wake your family at night. While playing content that supports a 5.1.3 setup, you're able to hear voices and sound effects all around you. The 5 represents the amount of speakers in the soundbar; the .1 represents the subwoofer, and finally, the .3 represents the Dolby Atmos speakers. The added Dolby Atmos speakers sends the audio to the ceiling and back to the listener. When you hear the added sound and clarity, you'll wonder why you didn't upgrade to a soundbar sooner. I use the Sub Mini paired with the Ray soundbar for TV audio and part of my musical audio system and it works excellently for both. The bass is strong and solid but can be tailored to any music type, video content, or time of day. The sub level can be adjusted to accomodate a gentle to heavy ear and can be appropriately subdued for nighttime use with sleeping kids in the next room or in close quarters within close proximity to neighbors. The bass response and sound is incredibly excellent at low, medium, and high volumes. We have an open floorplan with living/dining/kitchen/bar (~1000sqft) and a vaulted ceiling that is filled with great sound from the Sub Mini and a few other Sonos components.

pros i have paired my tv with samsung q800a soundbar and it works perfectly well. one thing to note here is that this tv does not support q-symphony you cant really get the tv+soundbar through earc however tv+soundbar works for me on wifi mode. having said that you would not be able to enjoy dolby atmos, dolby digital plus audio formats using wifi. cons the frame does not support dolby vision or dts:x which is a big drawback. even samsung q series soundbars support dolby vision passthrough and dts:x audio.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This soundbar is perfect for what I wanted. First of, it's not too big, but big enough to give you good sound. Out of the box it was easy to install. Just plug in the power and one hdmi cable to the TVs hdmi ARC and the TV saw that it was connected. It asked of I want to change the audio to the soundbar and that was it. It fills the room with sound so much better than just the TV speakers alone. I had a hard time hearing the spoken audio and this really helps. I think it's a perfect size that it doesn't take up too much room under the TV. I really liked using it as my Bluetooth speaker. Even without a big bass module, it sounds very loud and clear. I really recommend this soundbar if you don't want it to take up too much space and enhances the sound quality of what you are watching.

I was a bit hesitant to add a sound bar to my space at first since I worried that it would look too clunky, but this soundbar is unbelievably slim and sleek, and looks wonderful! It's definitely the smallest soundbar I've owned. But even though the soundbar is slim, it still has amazing audio with booming sound. I also have never used Samsung's Q-Symphony before, but wow was it incredible - the soundbar connects to the TV speakers, playing sound from both to create a very immersive, surround sound experience. I kept switching between the TV speakers only and then Q-Symphony to compare, and it really is no contest - It really kicked the audio up to a whole other level. I also love how easily the soundbar connects to other devices. It has built in Chromecast that I use every single day to play music, and it connects so quickly and effortlessly. It can also connect via wifi and bluetooth, so there are plenty of options to get connected. And the best part - I have a Samsung Frame TV and used to be disappointed that I couldn't play music while having artwork displayed, but this soundbar has been the perfect solution. I can now cast my music to the soundbar and keep my artwork up - it definitely elevates the space!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don’t let the size of the ultra-slim Samsung HW-S700D soundbar fool you, this thing packs a punch! Volume level 20 (it goes from level 0-100) is plenty loud for my apartment’s living room. The audio was crisp coming from both my tv (connected via HDMI) and my phone (connected via bluetooth), and did not sound like a cheap soundbar at all. The subwoofer provides a good amount of bass, and its volume can be controlled with the included remote. Because I use a set-top box, I configured that device’s remote to control the audio from my HW-S700D. I still need to use the included remote if I wanted to adjust the bass volume. Setup was easy. I just connected the soundbar to my tv using the included HDMI cable (the end that goes into the soundbar is mini-HDMI), connected the power cable to the soundbar and subwoofer, and it was all good to go. The HW-S700D does include mounting brackets for mounting on walls, but I did not use them because I have my tv and soundbar on a stand. My issue with the HW-S700D is minor. First, it lacked an optical audio port. Because my tv only has 3 HDMI ports, I had to use one of them for the soundbar, forcing me to disconnect one of the devices already connected to the tv. While an inconvenience, it was minor in the long run. I plan to upgrade my tv soon to one that has 4 HDMI ports, making this less of an issue. All in all, the Samsung HW-S700D is a solid soundbar that doesn’t take up a lot of space and provides rich audio. A good choice that doesn’t break the bank!
