Tv Streaming App

It's so wonderful having all of my streaming options in one place without the expensive new TV purchase or having to sign out of one app on my tablet, finding the other app and reconnecting. The flow of the Roku Streaming Stick from one app to another is so smooth and easy. Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] **I received this product for free, in exchange for an honest review.** The size (55") is just right for our existing TV stand (previously used for a 42", then 49"). Unboxing was slightly confusing and the included instructions were not very clear, but we eventually figured it out. After hooking it up, the onscreen setup was relatively straightforward, although the registration process didn't work and app installation took a while (even over blazing fast internet). The apps available for selection during setup are an interesting mix. Most of the top streaming apps are available during initial setup. That being said, the only app I was surprised to have to add after setup was Max (HBO). I was even able to add Crunchyroll during initial setup (and the remote has a dedicated Crunchyroll button!). I haven't played around too much with picture settings; straight out of the box, the picture is clear, and colors are bright & vibrant. Volume and sound are clear, as expected. I do wish the stand was a swivel-stand rather than the two legs, but overall am pleased with the quality. The TV does wobble very slightly on its legs, but that probably isn't unique to this specific brand or model. Overall, I'd give this a 4.5 out of 5. It's a great TV for its price point and fits our needs very well (daily use, lots of streaming, but also watch cable).

Love TV! Directv App not offered! Had to buy alternate method for streaming Directv Streaming signal. TV is awesome and next best picture to the LG OLED TVs.

I have been using Roku devices for many years. In the past, there was always a few glitches here and there that would show up while using them. This started showing major improvement with the Roku 3 that I purchased and then last with the model 3600 streaming stick. Now the hardware is not only fast in the menus but reliable and stable as well. Picture quality is as good as any streaming device I have owned and I have used many. The new remote control with voice, TV power and volume controls are a great upgrade from the 3600 model streaming stick. I can now watch TV with one remote control and that is very handy. If I could change anything it would be the integration of a TV guide type of application, such as the TV app on the Apple TV. There is a version of this on the remote app, but it is not as detailed as the version I have used on Apple TV. It would be nice to have this type of thing visible on the device and not just on the app. I suspect Roku will create something like this in the future. They are a responsive company that cares about the customer experience. What makes this a 5-star device though is the quality matched with the price. The closest competitor is a Fire TV, but they push you more toward the Amazon content while Roku is content agnostic with all but iTunes available to access. The menus are prettier on Fire TV, but the simplicity of access better on the Roku. I would argue that the quality and stability of the software is better as well. Overall this is a great device that gives you 4K without breaking your budget to do so. The fact that it does all of this with a simplistic and reliable platform makes it even better.

I've been using my Roku Ultra for about 3 months now and I love it so much I've decided to completely do away with cable. For the price of what I was paying for cable TV (including the monthly rental fees for the 2 cable boxes), I am able to pick up all of the streaming services I want including Hulu, Prime, Netflix, HBO Max and Paramount. Not only is this Roku player saving me money by being able to ditch cable, but it saved me hundreds because I didn't have to upgrade to a new SMART TV. Setup was a breeze. I"ve had no connection issues. Also, I'm pretty impressed with the speed and smoothness of how you can transition from app to app. The search feature if fabulous. It's also nice that you can arrange the streaming apps in the order that you want so you can put your most-used streaming services at the beginning. I love this so much that I'm ordering one of the more basic Roku players for my Aunt. She'd benefit from a remote with fewer functions.

we were looking to add hulu to our streaming service, the app built into the TV was no longer active, we looked in to additional services and ways to stream and found Roku. The Roku ultra was a perfect fit for our current use of one TV and would also work for our plan to add an additional TV in the future. Would recommend Roku ultra.

I previously had one of the first Roku models and with my room so far from the router it wasn't streaming properly anymore. The Streaming Stick + was a HUGE difference! I now have fast, high quality streaming. Even the picture quality on my TV looks better. The remote has voice search which is soooo much faster and easier than manually typing out what I'm looking for. The remote also controls the volume and on/off function on my TV so I can do everything with one remote. I was blown away with how much I love my new Roku Streaming Stick +
