The only reason for the Too sturdy joke in the title is due to the fact that my lead singer has a favorite mic stand that is the round weighted base variety, and a cheap one at that. This tray is actually a bit heavy enough to get that leaning a bit. A more pro stand base might be heavier? Or I'm sure it would be no issue at all on a tri-pod or legged mic stand. It seems weird these days for something to be anything other than flimsy, despite however well a picture of the product looks online. But heck, this thing is like a chunk off of 1950 Ford bumper or something. Very sturdy and strongly made. I had gone ahead and dug out some felt and rubber pads to use for the clamp, figuring that for the price of this unit I would need to supply my own, but no: even that was thoughtfully included. I am quite happy with the purchase. 5 |
