This mic will pretty much blow your mind with how clean it records. The brass instrument clip isn't that great. It wouldn't stay secured on the trumpet I mounted it on. Plus, certain mutes will prevent it from mounting entirely. I'm sure the clip is very instrument dependent, so plan for backup mounting options. When in doubt, gaff tape. 5 |

I've used some step-up rings that were brass and higher quality, which is true on the type of metal itself, but brass can cause some filters to get seriously stuck. I'm a big fan of the Sensei PRO step-up rings, since they are made well and help me swap out filters quickly and easily. Recommended! 5 |

Now this is a step-up ring. Expensive yes, the brass has weight to it and it is easier to put on than the aluminum type. 5 |

Made from brass, won't bind to your lens. The only type of step-up ring I'll use! Not cheap, but won't cause problems in the field. 5 |
