Which one should you be using? Both types serve the same purpose, but when you get a monitor, graphics card, or TV higher than 4K, that's when the big advantage of the Display comes in. While HDMI is still stuck at 8K, 60Hz, the Display Port is a ridiculous 8K, 120Hz or 16K, 60 Hz, so, as for SPEED, the Display Port takes the lead!. BUT...the advantages of this incredible speed and resolution, is something that most regular consumers won't see anytime soon. as they move very slowly to newer technology. The lock in teeth is great, as long as you take care of installing this cable where there would not be any possibility of someone tripping on the cable. I'm a video editor and I'm using this cable with a NVIDIA GTX 1650 D6 Ventus XS graphics card. This Pearstone Display Port cable, what I also like is that is very flexible. Some HDMI cables I have, they are very stiff, causing a bit of stress on the ports. A softer cable is always preferred for that matter. It does the job and I'm pleased. I tested this shade out at the beach and it worked well in all types of light on a RED Raven with 4.7 display. It blocks light well on a small display. The bottom panel stretches so you can get to things. It moves relatively easily, but on such a small display it's still a little difficult to access the screen if you need to do things very quickly. If you're trying to change things while shooting, it might not be the easiest, but I don't find myself tweaking things on the LCD while shooting too frequently.

I switched to a Mac Studio recently after spending the last 10 years editing video on iMac, and this monitor holds up incredibly well. No, it is not a 5K Retina display. However, it is about $1,000 less expensive than an Apple Display, and after using it for two weeks, I'm not noticing any major differences. The color and the resolution are high quality and very suitable for editing 4K video. This monitor also connects directly to the Mac Studio through a USB-C, and it started right up the first time. (I had read reviews that firmware needed to be updated on the monitor to use the USB-C connection, but I didn't not experience this). The 31.5 display is also a nice upgrade over the 27 iMac - that extra bit of real estate is always welcome. It takes up about the same amount of space on my desk as the iMac did. The matte screen is also great. The Retina Displays were too glossy with too many reflections, whereas this monitor minimizes and soften reflections. I'm very happy with this purchase, and if you're looking for a cost-effective alternative to an Apple Display, I would recommend the Dell Ultrasharp 31.5 4K HDR Monitor.

I have been using this for a month to display my laptop on an external HDMI monitor. Works great. Monitor pops on as soon as i plug it in.

So please with every aspect of this monitor. I use a clean HDMI out from my camera in to the Monitor. It provides my camera ops with a very nice display and we use the loop option to send the signal back to the production switcher. It has all the really nice pro line features you see in more expensive monitors. I use a couple extended life batteries to power the monitor. It can run all day off one single battery. Very impressed
