Ubuntu Samsung Laptop Brightness

Running new Dell Inspiron Ubuntu laptop with Sony SRS-XG300 as external speaker. Connects flawlessly with my Linux laptop. Speaker sounds great for price range and my application (business and music videos). Very happy with purchase. Recommended.

My old laptop had gotten very slow, taking forever to boot into Ubuntu 19.04. I figured it would get worse with 20.04, so I sprung for a replacement to the original 160GB spinning drive. This did the trick - the old Lenovo now seems almost zippy.

I wanted to connect a Ham Radio to a Laptop with Ubuntu running an application for digital modes (FT8). This worked out of the box.

It works well, and no problems for Ubuntu Linux to recognize. :)

This monitor is great for work and gaming I use it for my gaming laptop and work laptop. Color and brightness and perfect.

Worked perfectly in ubuntu 20.04 and windows 10.

I bought this January 2024 and today got around to configuring it to my liking. It works great with my Ubuntu Linux server. Ubuntu Noble Numbat. Got this so that a power burp won't cause my server to crash. Although my monitor on my laptop is 15" and with Windows I can "snap" to see two things side-by-side, it's never the same as having another window to look at. This is the best purchase I ever made as someone that doesn't always work at their office desk!!!PROS:* It's always with you. You don't have to pack and unpack it. It's always with you attached to the back of your monitor. The only thing you have to remember is the plug that goes form the monitor to the USB of your laptop to power it. I will say that one side is USB-C and the other is USB. I have NOT tried this but wondering if you could use a cell phone charger plug in a pinch.* You can adjust the brightness. I personally like my monitors low so adjusting the brightness is critical for me.* You can share it with others. In the box there are multiple sets of magnets that you can put on other devices so you aren't tied to only using the monitor on one machine. Great for someone like me that has multiple machines.CONS:* You will need a spare USB plug on your laptop since you'll need that to power the monitor. Not really a con since any monitor needs power but if you don't have a spare space then it could be.* The magnets are not that strong to hold the monitor on. Mine slides slightly when working with the laptop on my lap and not on a table.Overall, this is a great purchase. I'd would definitely recommend someone purchasing one.

I really like this product, and the fact that it retracts from its case, and the case is attached to my laptop truly makes it a portable monitor. the brightness is fantastic and i clearly see everything. The fact that it works for both macos and windows make its an equipment that I wont' have to replace if I decide to change platform. really like it and recommend it.
