Ubuntu Update Manager Stopped Asking For Password

Easy setup, all I had to do was update the software and change password

Hook up cable, connect to Mac, password update, firmware check, call ISP, disconnect from Mac, connect to router, and done, 10 minutes tops.

Crisp colour however software updates are bothersome as there are many and require printer password to update which adds to the frustration and delays

My computer front ports stopped working with a Windows 10 update, and I could not get them to work again. But my rear 3.1 ports were working fine. So I saw this little unit, and bought it at B&H's low price. It's plug and play, and functions perfectly. I plugged it into a rear port, and double-sided taped it to the computer top. It has a power button that once turned on, never has to be used again. Turn the computer off, turn it on again, and the hub powers up with the computer. Perfect, and an easy fix! I can high-speed transfer to my USB sticks again!

My old triggers stopped working with my new cameras and were too old to update so i had to upgrade instead. I'm not huge strobe shooter so I don't need top of the line or super durable. This worked great out of the box with my Z9 (in manual mode, i dont use TTL).

It works well, and no problems for Ubuntu Linux to recognize. :)

Worked perfectly in ubuntu 20.04 and windows 10.

I bought this January 2024 and today got around to configuring it to my liking. It works great with my Ubuntu Linux server. Ubuntu Noble Numbat. Got this so that a power burp won't cause my server to crash. Works great and the only thing I had to set up was the option to have a password to protect it if someone else tries to use it.

Easy setup. Easy to change WiFi name and password. Easy to use the app.
