The jury is out on which battery mount is better. I do like V-mount for cameras, because gravity is on your side, but for the Astra battery mount, and I have both kinds, the Gold mount, again with the aid of gravity, clicks into place safer than the V-mount kind. The V-mounts, sideways, just don't click in as safely and I have been know to drop them once or twice. Never with the Gold Mount. 5 |

We record the local Miss_______Scholarship Pageant. Our current tripod head was in need of replacement and I began searching out a suitable new one. I read the previous reviews about the MVH500AH and found that it sounded like just the thing. Even though some reviews complained of it being stiff when panning, I found it to be a non-issue. The panning and tilting were smooth as can be. I want to get a second one for our other tripod! 5 |
